There are some pieces of clothing that are on a different league of their own. These are the classics that always get updated with new buttons, collars + colors, fabrics, and all sorts of embellishments. They evolve with new fashion trends with an adaptability of a chameleon.

Although they frequently take a new life and always stay current with the times; the most important quality that attracts me to these classics is how they remain the same at their core. I relate to these pieces maybe because they symbolize the kind of people I like to have in my life. Not afraid to change but always trustworthy, bold and understated at the same time. These fashion pieces are always welcome in my closet and are definitely worth their own series.

Today I start with the chambray shirt. It’s one of the many chambray’s in my closet but I am a little bit gaga over this one at the moment. I grabbed it at the store the moment I saw my all time favorite fabric lace making an appearance on the back. Combined with a black tight woven leggings working as the background, a shiny statement necklace, the cobalt blue purse for a pop of color and versatile grey suede boots the chambray lives on.

I really encourage you to include some classics in your own closet to form a base for your wardrobe and anchor your style while you are experiencing with the new trends.

PS: Please make sure to leave me a note below to let me know what your “never out of style” pieces are. I just love hearing from you and would love to feature a suggestion in a future installment of this series:)
