After waiting a mere two weeks after my December Stitch Fix Review, I had the excitement of anticipating a new package coming my way. I only kept one item, a skirt, from the last “fix” and was ready to meet some new Stitch Fix lovelies.
You can find detailed info on what Stitch Fix is all about in my first post here. In a nutshell, Stitch Fix is a clothing subscription program where they send you clothes (and accessories if you like) based on your style profile and selected budget at the frequency of your choosing. They carry a lot of boutique quality brands as well as their house brand 41Hawthorn. The upfont styling fee is $20 and this is applied to the final purchase. If you decide to keep the whole “fix” there is a %25 discount.
As always I chose to receive just clothing and got the above five pieces. Stitch Fix includes these little cards to give some guidance on how to style the items.
Let’s start with my keeper! To my surprise the piece I could not part with is yet another skirt, and again with stripes. I guess striped skirts are what’s trending in my closet right now.
41Hawthorn Walt Striped Skirt | $68
This vibrant emerald green skirt with black stripes brightened up my day the moment I saw it. I matched it with a mustard yellow top ( Ann Taylor, similar here), and my beloved high heel Oxfords (sold out at Colehaan, similar here). I used black tights and a black/ envelope clutch (Golden Tote) to anchor the look.
I layered three necklaces to give some movement to the simple top. The compass (similar here) and the Persephone necklace are from Jewelmint. The key necklace was a gift.
I completed the look with this rose gold Michael Kors watch. I absolutely love this piece and think it adopts well to so many types of outfits.
The other four pieces shown below did not make the cut for me this time for various reasons.
1) 41 Hawthorn Brentwood Jersey Stripe Tiered Top | $68. This top was super cute on and the design was really unique. I would have welcomed it to my collection if only the price tag was a little lower. Felt like for the material the cost was not quite justified.
2) Under Skies Sanchez Striped Lurex Detail Jacket | $88. The red striped jacket had an unusual shape and I did like that. The reason for my return is because most of my tops are patterned and I felt like I would not be able to use this piece as much as I would want.
3) 41Hawthorn Calafia Jersey Wrap Dress | $58. For me this particular dress was very average. It had no special details, the fit was just okay, and the color was not very flattering on me. This was the easiest return decision of the bunch.
4) 41Hawthorn Filbert Floral Print Henley Blouse | $58. I pondered a bit on whether I should let this go or not. The flowers were pretty, the color perfectly me. In the end I was not a big fan of the fabric, it felt too unnatural.
What do you guys think of this month’s Stitch Fix? Would love to know which piece is your favorite? Which piece suits your style? It’s the best to hear from you; be sure to say hi if you stop by and let me know your thoughts. Also join me @ Pinterest, Bloglovin, Instagram, or Facebook for updates! XOXO, Elif ;
