Theboxqueen’s Weekly Finds all under $100 is back. I share my favorite finds here and starting this week, I will follow my discoveries with an outfit I styled out of my own closet. I will also add my usual little style tips and suggestions. The rule is each item used will be under $100 as well!

Most of these pieces are great brands on sale; who doesn’t love finding their favorites at great deals? I sure do. In my closet there are pieces from stores at all different price points from luxury brands to pieces from juniors sections. I truly believe, how you put together the pieces you own, and having a vision for the outfits you want to create, is the most important part of finding your style voice.

The blazer is the same of mine (shown below) in pink. I love the casualness of  #11, the Antropologie tee, I would style this top in a full skirt with Mary Jane pumps. The heart locket, is beyond cool and would work as the main statement accessory as well as with different styles of delicate necklaces for a layered look. I have the Nars lip color and the nail polish and love both of them for some color impact. They are also high in quality and wear long.

Which pieces are your favorites?

Sundays are our brunch days. We usually meet our good friends at one of our few favorite breakfast spots, have a delicious meal full of laughs ( and sometimes whines when the kids protest eating smt. or are ready to go out and run free) , catch up over lots of warm conversation, and of course with combined  four kids have our share of mishaps. ( experiments done with salt and sugar anyone) 🙂 It’s our family’s Sunday ritual. The kids look forward to it and it’s something I hope they will remember as our family tradition. (and maybe  continue with their families)

What are some of your family traditions?

I dress according to what I feel like the morning of the brunch, like I always do for anyday. Fashion is such a powerful self expression for me that I always follow my instincts every time I go in front of my closet to pick out the day’s outfits. This past Sunday, I wanted to dress stylishly sophisticated, with a cool laid-back vibe mixed in. As in theboxqueen’s under $100 true fashion, all the pieces I used are under the $100 mark.

I bought this blazer when I ran into my favorite polka dot shirt at Macys. ( for new readers you can find my polka dot tee here). I was in a polka dot frame of mind that day, and when I saw this candy colored blazer  ( different colors available) with white/navy polka dot lining, I couldn’t let it go. It is such a versatile piece that makes any outfit instantly adorable! I bought the leggings from Zara during my Istanbul trip, Zara is huge there. The tank is from Nordstrom Rack purchased last year.

Style Tip: If you want to multitask your blazers and make them less serious you have options as always with styling. You can either find a blazer similar to this one with some whimsy like the polka dot lining and use it sleeves rolled up or down. You can also match your blazer with a laid back tank like I did here, to instantly add some coolness to your classy look.

I was at DSW the other day and was so happy to see this beautiful clutch 50% off! (very similar one here same brand– different colors) Score! 🙂

Style Tip: Although clutches are known to be ideal for for more dressy, evening looks; you can always break the rules and use them during the day. For them to be more functional during the day, make sure to find one that’s good in size ( like the one I scored from DSW- just can’t get over the great deal I found haha) to carry your essentials. I couldn’t believe it when I fit my phone, credit card holder, some make-up and my daughter’s tiny sock monkey ( yes seriously 🙂 in this one and there was still room for more.

bq_0966My shoes are Boutique 9 from Piperlime and sold out now. Here are two similar ones I love. Sole Society Jenn and this Guess one on sale.

All my layered necklaces are from Jewelmint but the horseshoe one. That is from my Popsugar March box. I gave the horseshoe wish necklace to my nine year old, who rides and loves horses, and borrowed it from her as it goes great with the others. The arrow two finger Erin Fetherston  ring is also from Jewelmint.

Style Tip: To make a blazer more playful I love mixing and matching various necklaces. Here I started off with the longest necklace as my anchoring statement piece here and added in various metals and sizes to make it all look fluid and interesting.

Hope you liked my choices! <3 What are your favorite finds under $100? Do you also like to mix high and low priced pieces together like I do? Where do you find your best deals? I can’t wait to hear what you think!

    • Yes the DV flats, pretty original right? I usually go for heels or wedges but this one may get me. Thx so much Gina for the usual sweetness. • fashionguru

All the black and dark blue blazers on my closet I do not want to wear them any more! How cute this orange one looks I think the way you put it together I can go to work like this. I also liked the leggings. I would not think to wear them as a formal dress but I think I will try after seeing this blog. Thanks!

    • I use leggings for everything. I buy both the thinner and thicker versions. If you want it to be more work appropriate you can use the thicker fabric leggings that are almost like skinny pants but not quite. They are very flattering especially in black, navy or grey. For the weekend they are perfect for a cool outfit with a longer tee, or tank by itself or under jackets, sweaters etc. Isn’t the blazer such a happy color? Glad to hear you’ll switch it up a bit and go for more color! SO delighted to hear my post was useful. Thx so much for letting me know! XOXO, Elif

  • I like 5 and 8 the best. I would not have been able to let go of that blazer also, it’s adorable!

    Corinne x

    • Ahhh the Kate Spade Wristlet love that print! Yesss exactly for the blazer! I saw it and I jumped on it haha, literally! <3<3 XOXO, Elif

  • You are speaking from my heart….affordable pieces…you just proved a point in your picks and style photos that YOU DO NOT have to spend a lot to look like you did!! High five!

    • Shanna totally agree! It is all about making the right choices, and having a vision of how you want to put everything together; knowing which look you are going for! Style is attainable at all price points! Thx so much for the encouragement <3<3 I appreciate it wholeheartedly; means SO much!!! A big high five lovely lady! XOXO, Elif

  • That is such a cute blazer! I love the bright colour, will go with so much, especially denim! 🙂

    Away From Blue

    • Yes so true; it goes amazing with denim as well. Tried it over my skinny’s this weekend and it was really cute! Love the happy look that comes with bright clothing <3 Thx for saying hi! <3 XOXO, Elif

  • The Kenzie blazer caught my eye immediately. So of course I loved how you fashioned your own blazer. You are so stylish! Your clutch bag is such a nice contrasting texture. Love! Love! Love!

Isn’t it great that we’re in spring? I love all the bright colors!

    • Yessss!!!! I am SO happy we are in spring and even the NW complies with it at least most days when suddenly it rains a bit. Nothing can dampen my excitement for spring though and I thought the bright colors would be a good welcome for it. Delighted to know you like it too Karen. The clutch was one of my fave’s from the outfit as it was like a treasure found and such a great deal too. Thx lovely! XOXO, Elif
