In about two weeks, one of the loveliest of the special days for me is coming. It’s Mother’s Day and I can’t help but get excited for it. Below are some super cute gifts any mom would enjoy.

Since I was a little girl I always loved doing something special for my mom. I am an only child so my partner in crime would be my dad, and we would come up with some kind of a surprise for my mom; usually a cute gift we thought she would like, and brunch out at her favorite restaurant ( this is where my love of brunch must be coming from) I also always wrote a letter/ story /poem for her ( my love of writing didn’t change either <3 ) and I remember how those were what made her day more than anything else! (cont. below)

Mother's Day Gift Guide
Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Now that I am a mom myself the same holds true, this time for me. I’ll admit that I like the gifts, and plans as much as any girl. What really matters on Mother’s day though, is the heartfelt notes from my daughter, and the effort my four year old puts in her drawings, the flower my sons finds and brings me. Whatever they come up with doesn’t have to look perfect; because with the love they put in, those drawings, notes, crafts are just the best in the world for me!

I haven’t seen my mom for a while as she lives so far away; and I’ve missed her like crazy. She loves pretty, and comfy flats. I am taking those Tieks with me as her belated gift and I’ll make sure to write another letter to her just like when I was 8. I think she’ll like the Tieks but know she will always treasure the letter. <3

What are your plans for Mother’s Day and what does it mean to you?

From my Mother’s Day gift ideas; I have personally used and loved 1, 2, and 5.

The Tieks are just the most comfortable and beautiful flats I’ve ever worn. These are high quality shoes you’ll keep forever. If you’ve read my fashion posts you know I am not particularly a flats kinda girl; but I am a Tieks kind of girl for sure.

One of my good friends bought this Bare Minerals kit as a birthday gift to me. She said these mineral powders were the best, and most natural foundation she’s ever used. I was super skeptical at first; how can a powder work as cover up right? Well I was wrong! Not only have I been using these since, I have recommended them to numerous friends, gifted my mom, and family. Haha never underestimate anything, you may be surprised! One of my life mottos!

Sovaj ADF Face Cream 2.0 Oz is my newest find in anti-aging creams. What makes this cream different is that it is made of all natural ingredients, is 100% vegan, and ultra hypo-allergenic. It can be used for the face & around the eyes, and is formulated, and made in the US by a pharmacist. Sovaj doesn’t have any fillers; just good for you anti-oxidants like aleo vera, hyaluronic acid, shea butter, vitamin E/B5 and much more. This company is local to me and they sent me a jar to try out. I have been using it exclusively as a night cream for the past three weeks. So far it feels very refreshing, gets rid of my dry patches, and I have seen a difference in my eye area. It looks brighter and the fine lines are not as noticeable. I am taking a jar of it with me to my mom along with the flats, she would love this anti-aging magic.

Hope you enjoyed these gift ideas! I can’t wait to hear your plans for Mother’s day!

Bare minerals has been the can’t do without for me for years. Especially the mineral veil. If you are starting to have pores and wrinkles these actually help cover them up naturally rather than accentuating them. I also loved the necklace and the ballet flats. Great suggestions!

    • The mineral veil is so amazing right? I don’t know what it exactly is but some kind of magic for sure! 🙂 Makes the whole make-up look flawless <3 The ballet flats are my favorite too they are never out of style keepers! Thanks for sharing lovely! XOXO, Elif

I am not a mom yet. For me it’s all about celebrating my mom. I was actually thinking of what to get her! I love your options, especially the flats, and anti aging cream. I am taking my mom to lunch on Mothers Day. Thanks for the ideas!

    • You are very welcome my dear 🙂 They are all things that I either used or are on my wishlist lately ! <3 The anti-aging cream and flats both I have and just LOVE! Both would be excellent choices. I bet your mom is really looking forward to your lunch together! Have the best time! XOXO, Elif

Yes! I actually did not know what I wanted and my boys are helpless without my hints. I just announced what I wanted after seeing your post. The little one assured me that their gift will come with 100 kisses. All ready for the big day!

    • Now I am SO curious which one you liked and hinted at?!? 🙂 Boys really need a bit of guidance sometimes I agree haha. The part I so love is the 100 kisses your son is adding to your gift! Just precious 🙂 You have to tell me all about it after. XOXO, Elif

  • Aww, what lovely gift ideas! My mum is the same – she never wants big things for mother’s day, it’s the little things that she enjoys 🙂

  • Aww – what a sweet post! I wish my mom were local! And I also wish my mom were easy to shop for, but that’s not the case and I have panic attacks trying to think of what to get her! True story!! But I love her and miss her regardless!!!

    • I know my mom lives SOOO far away too and I always reminisce in all the Mother’s Days we celebrated together. Thx lovely for the sweet words. I bet you are harder on yourself more than your mom when it comes to gifts etc. XOXO, Elif

  • Fashionguru

After reading your post I realized how much I missed my mom. I guess I don’t need to wait for the Mother’s Day to call her and tell her how much I love her.
My mom would have liked the comfortable Tiek flats, off course I would prefer not to tell her how much it costs cause she doesn’t like anything expensive for herself. 🙂

    • Hahhaa I know we need to keep that info to ourselves Fashionguru about the Tieks 🙂 Luckily our moms would care much more for our calls, and cards. Go ahead and call your mom my dear; I bet she would love to hear how much you miss her! <3<3 XOXO, Elif

  • That pearl necklace is lovely! I sent my mum a box of her favourite chocolates, but signed them from Adam Levine (her celebrity crush)! We’ll see how long it takes her to figure out that I’m the mischief-maker behind the gift!
