I have been sharing with you ladies how I pack practically for our quick weekend beach trips in the summer, and my latest beach attire. Even when we are back at home in the NW, summertime means most of our time is spent at the pool. It keeps my kids busy, and my mind sane.
The amount of rain we have in my city is so large, it is a requirement to store as much sunshine as possible in the warm months. Haha, makes me feel like a polar bear storing food before hibernation. We often times meet friends there as well and sometimes have pool parties. How does this relate to my fashion choices?
I am constantly on the look-out for stylish but functional, and comfortable beach/pool appropriate attire, and have forever been searching for a pretty sandal that won’t make me sweat if it gets wet. I have countless flip flops but I needed something that was fancier than those for transition to lunch/ happy hour. Fibi & Clo has been the answer to my long-time search with their Riviera sandals. ( The company was so kind to send me a pair) These have small rhinestones on circular metals and are water resistant, perfect for water fun.
I love how they bring some glamour to a casual day. I have been wearing my sandals to the pool with my swimsuits, and throw over a dress and voila I am ready for cocktails or lunch with no need for shoe change. I’ve tested the Riviera the past four days ( since my husband brought me my mail – remember that excitement haha) and they passed with flying colors for comfort as well.
Fibi & Clo was founded by AnaLiza in 2009. As a Texan living in NY she wanted to turn her love of fashion into a business she could take with her to Texas, her much missed home. ( while continuing with her advertising career) The idea of developing a trunk show with a line of sandals was born; it felt like getting together with friends, and shopping while having laughs.
How cute is this; her company is named after her two cats! 🙂 Fibi & Clo. These sandals can be purchased at their online store as well as fashion agents around the country. Other than my water resistant Riviera, there are many other shoe styles, and also some accessories. Here is a closer look at my sandals.
Aren’t they pretty? <3
Another reason that I really appreciated the company – and made me want to share this brand with you even more – is their new program in collaboration with Souls For Souls. It’s called “Get Her On Her Feet”, and by matching the shoes a hostess earns from Fibi & Clo parties, the company helps women start their own business, and become entrepreneurs. They’ve already helped 1300 women in the US, now they strive to do the same for women in impoverished countries, where the average salary is $183 a month.
I personally loved learning that they show kindness by actually empowering women, and encouraging them to build businesses that’ll sustain their families. 🙂
What are your go to shoes for summer time transition from the water to lunch, dinner, parties, happy hour? Have you ever heard of Fibi & Clo, have you worn their sandals?
