Dear ladies, you may remember “TheBoxQueen’s Back to Fitness” series I had during winter, and spring which I fully intend to restart this coming fall/winter. After I wrote the very last edition in April, I got super busy with kid’s schools wrapping up, extracurricular activities finalizing, and most importantly with our traveling & overseas summer plans on full speed.
We froze our membership at our sports club in May, I had to run back, and forth on errands to straighten everything out before we left, and on top of it all, I was shopping for gifts for family, as well as necessities to take with us. There absolutely was no time for my regular fitness schedule at the gym, and very little of it for my regular runs.
By the time we were at our destination beginning of June, I was already feeling unhealthy, and out of shape. Now friends, you can’t believe how AMAZING my mom’s cooking is, ( aren’t moms like that! ) and visiting back home also means meeting with all my friends. Childhood friends, school ones, and college; we gather with a different darling friend almost everyday mostly over food. Delectable, inviting Mediterranean tastes, and such appetizing local cuisine. It goes without saying I ate and didn’t regret it for a moment.
Until I did. Not completely, but just for a bit. The scale was not my friend ( I gained 5 pounds), but much more importantly I felt bloated, & not my healthy self. I needed a change, and came across a wonderful program Slimfast 14 Days to Slim by Slimfast.
Slimfast 14- Day Slimdown is a nutritiously balanced, and may I say very delicious program to lose up to 6 pounds in your first 2 weeks.
Here is how you do it:
- Enjoy a total of 1200 calories worth food a day.
- Swap two of your meals with Slimfast protein shake or meal bars.
- Savour three 100 calorie snacks ( such as Slimfasts yummy snack bars) or pieces of fruit.
- Eat a 500 calorie third meal.
- Drink plenty of water.
- Complete light to medium exercise for 30 minutes each day.
Keep in mind the shakes, and bars that are meal replacement products should be used as such, and not as an addition to an healthy meal.
During all the fun craziness going on in my life the past couple of months, one sore spot was healthy snacking – or maybe unhealthy I should say. I am a big snacker. To keep going during the day, I need at least a couple snacks in between my meals. Exactly the reason I was so blissed to discover the Slimfast gimme some Greek Yogurt & Honey snack bars.
These snack bars are chewy, have a generous layer of honey on top, and are coated with the good for you greek yogurt, hence the white color you can see at the very bottom pic. As a part of the 30 minute a day exercise program, I re-started my beloved form of exercise; running. It’s easy, doesn’t require a gym, and I love that it is done in open air. It’s wonderful inhaling lots of clean, fresh air, and the abundant oxygen to make your lungs smile.
I take a bar of Slimfast Greek Yogurt & Honey snack bar with me each time I go out. These bars come in a pack of six. Their small size is super convenient for carrying around. Usually after my runs I am hungry as a bear, and instead of eating empty calorie snacks, I eat one of these yummies.
This is after my one of my summer runs, resting in a shade, enjoying the view, and delighting in one of my Slimfast Greek Yogurt and Honey Snack Bars.
Apart from taking the bars along with me on my runs, I also put them in my purses to munch on during daily activities so I don’t give in to the craving monster when I see a huge bar of chocolate or a strawberry covered fruit tart. 🙂

I find it to be a very welcome extra encouragement to stay on track. It’s so easy to sign-up. I definitely recommend it to you all.
Results you say? In the past week I’ve implemented Slimfast 14 Day SlimDown I’ve already lost two and a half pounds. Pretty good right? I am definitely continuing with this.
