I’ve been missing my Popsugar Must Have boxes. A lot. See, when the July box was
delivered to my house, I wasn’t home. I was away for summer. My box was waiting for me at
the post office, and I ended up physically seeing both July & August surprises at the same
time. I may come back with my thoughts on the July box at some point. Today I’ll start with
the current August Popsugar Must Have.

POPSUGAR MUST HAVE AUGUST REVIEW- 2014

If you would like to get in-depth information on how this lifestyle subscription works, what kind of items are sent each month, and value you may expect to receive, you can find all this info, and more, in my previous Popsugar reviews.

In a nutshell Popsugar Must Have is an exciting lifestyle subscription that is put together by the editors at Popsugar. It is $39.95 monthly, and in my experience the value has always been over $100. More important than that, I LOVE receiving pieces from cool trendy brands, discovering small unique shops, and I appreciate the diversity of the products they include in various categories such as fashion, home, fitness, beauty and food.

This month’s Popsugar Must Have is filled with items from most of the above categories. There are so many things in this box of wonders to make a girl swoon.

Let’s start with the best piece, the earrings! <3

Kendra Scott Elle Earrings in Slate ($52) I have known, and loved Kendra Scott’s pieces for a while now. I think she makes high quality, elegant, and classy jewelry. Some people got these earrings in their August box, and others got the Black Cat’s Eye necklace.

I really love the shape of the Elle earrings, it’s the classic drop earrings modernized. All the earrings I’ve seen, including mine, are in color slate. Slate is very easy to wear, and mix and match. Frankly though, I wouldn’t have minded to receive one of these colorful Elle earrings instead. I mean look at this violet colored one, or the teal. I may need to get one in these colors. Simply stunning!

Lollia At Last Perfumed Shower Gel (22) Lollia shower gel is my case in point as it examplifies what I meant about discovering new brands. I’ve never heard of Lollia before, and can’t wait to try this shower gel. I’ve smelled it and it is very pleasant. Floral, light, and fresh.

Paddywax Ocean Tide + Sea Salt Mini Jar Candle ($10) I light candles year around. It’s one of those things I can’t get enough of around the house. Like tea cups, journals & pens, my kids’ drawings, candles make me feel at home, and at ease. How absolutely adorable is the Paddywax ? ( linking to both sizes of the candle, there is a bigger one priced a bit higher as well)

I can’t wait to burn the candle, and when the candle is all gone, I plan to scrape the pieces of wax out. Don’t laugh 🙂 Yes I will for that super cute blue jar. <3 I think I may put little stationary in it like paper clips.

ThinkThin Brownie Crunch High Protein Bar ($1.99) Me, a nutritious protein bar, and most importantly brownie. Yummm, and gone in sixty seconds. Enough said.

The Mason Jar Cookie Company ($12) I am really curious to know what you ladies will think when I say The Mason Jar Cookie Mix is my second favorite product out of the August box? So many things about it makes me all warm, and fuzzy inside, evokes happy feelings, and gives me a smile.

From the genius packaging ( when I saw the pic online before I got my box, I was thinking- how are those ingredients staying so organized haha) to the candy &sprinkles, and the possibility of fun times when we’ll bake this with my mini chefs; I can’t get over this thing. I’ll have to report back with how the cookies actually turn out.

Bite Beauty Lush Fruit Lip ($22) I noticed after the fact that I forgot to add the actual lip gloss next to the box. Now that I used it, the tube is not as pretty. :(( I can tell you this though, it’s hot pink in the tube, and not as bold on the lips. The Bite Beauty Lipgloss in this shade is customized for Popsugar to celebrate the subscription’s second birthday. The gloss has the nicest fruity flavor; it was made with REAL fruit like strawberries. So very cool! Will definitely be used everyday.

Goodbyn Purple Meal and Dipper Set ($8) Ok this may not be the most exciting piece of the bunch, it doesn’t make my heart skip say like the cookie mix jar earrings. It’s very purposeful piece, and will be used without a doubt though. The set is BPA free, and dishwasher safe; both “musts” for me. It’s also nice for traveling, or even to take some snacks with me to outings with the kids.

Overall Impressions: This month is a wonderful mix of fun and function. It’s also an amazing value. For $39.95, August Pop Sugar Must Have delivered almost $130 worth of products.

I had the same favorites as you this month. The earrings are pretty, but I can’t wait to check out some other colors. The Chalcedony is calling my name! We LOVED the cookie mix and made them the same day my box came. I enjoyed July’s box as well, would love to hear your thoughts!

    • Chalcedony, just looked at it and it’s such a beautiful green. I have a necklace in that color ( not Kendra Scott) I wore a lot this summer.
The cookie mix is awesome right? :)) and I say that without even baking yet haha. I think I got much more excited than my kids over it. Did they turn out yummy? I’ll hopefully get to the July box soon- I really liked what I saw in it. <3
Have a wonderful weekend dear, XOXO, Elif

  • Those earrings are absolutely beautiful! And I would be repurposing that candle jar, too! It’s too cute to go into the recycling bin!

  • Sibel & Eda

We absolutely love the items you got in this box! Very interesting cookie mix and wonderful lip gloss. (I, Eda, am a lip gloss and lip balm fan, I recommend eos and baby lips) And about the brand Lolita I can tell you that you will be very satisfied, it is a French, high quality brand. I have a Lolita perfume and I absolutely adore it.

    • The lip gloss is lovely in color, and me &my daughter are also big fans of EOS <3 They are the best for chapped lips.
Now I am so curious about the perfume!!! This one is Lollia ; is yours the same or Lolita? ( I am suspecting auto correct haha- gets me all the time 🙂 If it is another brad Lolita I need to discover that one too; but I am thinking it indeed is Lollia as I researched and they have a perfume sold at Anthropologie. Ahhh these beauty items, especially perfumes & cosmetics, can't stop collecting more :))) XOXO, Elif
