We’ve been talking a lot about Spring here on TheBoxQueen, and of course my love for the season. Today I’ll show you how I styled a very fun, bright, and cheerful spring trend, botanical floral prints.

Do you know what spring blossoms also bring allergy sufferers like myself? ALLERGY FACE® The puffiness, watery eyes, red nose are all signs of it. Yeah not very pretty I hear you. I’ll also share how I get ready for pictures, and continue with our outdoor activities even when millions of pollens are floating in the air. Ladies, if you are an allergy sufferer I know you’ll relate, and may even get some tips.

Floral prints continue their reign this year as one of the strong spring trends. ( last years floral trend post) This spring I am drawn more to botanical prints in blues, and oranges that are pretty trendy right now. As soon as I saw this dress with the adorable neckline, single front pleat, and pockets in the ultra cheerful print I was in love.

Style Tip: Bold prints take center stage, and attract attention on their own. Like I did in this outfit, you can leave your neckline bare, and add colorful earrings ( mine is coral stars), and a thicker bracelet. This will balance the busy patterns, and won’t tire the eye.

Also make sure to pair a statement dress with elegant, but unique shoes. I was inspired by the color palette of the dress when choosing these cobalt pumps. I love that they are special with the tulle detail on the top & sides.

Before I took my style pictures, I took a long hike where my daughter rides horses. (seen in the above pic) In the NW, we are blessed with BEAUTIFUL nature. I mean it’s drop dead gorgeous. Old, tall trees, many kinds of flowers, lots of green, and the mountains. This also means in allergy season pollen count hits the roof; usually topping mid high to highs all day long.

As you can guess, there was no way I could be taking my style pictures in the afternoon after this long hike if I didn’t take my ZYRTEC® . I would be walking around with watery eyes, puffier face, and a red nose feeling kinda miserable.

ZYRTEC® not only helps me beat my ALLERGY FACE® but it also takes effect so quickly, one hour after you start taking it on the very first day you start the medication; and provides 24 hrs of relief. My attitude changes from nay to YAY quickly after taking it. 🙂 Especially when I am putting together a fashion post, in the height of allergy season in spring, I feel like ZYRTEC® is my “must have” accessory to feel like myself.

Do you suffer from allergies as well during pollen season? Do you experience ALLERGY FACE® ? Have you tried ZYRTEC® ? Would LOVE to hear your experiences!

Back to spring trend bright, botanical prints. I really like dresses for warmer weather. They are just one layer, not fussy, and there is something about dresses that feels easy breezy. You can make them fancier like I did here with heels. I’ll also style this dress casually with flat open sandals for a more casual look. I must say my favorite part of this shot is that my face looks allergy free <3 I like feeling like my regular self!

ZYRTEC® has teamed up with GILT, and Jamie Greenberg the celebrity make-up artist, to put together looks that work great for allergy sufferers like me. Each allergy season morning, we wake up with the “challenge” of ALLERGY FACE®  and these tips really help when we try to look our best. (even when we initially start our day sneezing, and with watery eyes.) Ladies if you also have similar allergy season problems, I recommend you check out this video for ideas.

Below is “Spring Radiance” look Jamie Greenberg created as a simple, everyday look. I use the tips in this one a lot in my everyday make-up.
