How has your June been so far ladies? Mine has been lovely, especially after schools have closed for summer vacation, and I can actually relax at home a bit with the kids. ( well at least in the mornings we can sleep a tad more 🙂 ) June has become even more fabulous when I ended up receiving two Stitch Fix boxes.
My current Stitch Fix #26 brought with it a lot of prettiness. As always, I created outfits with
each piece, and I am including my style tips. I’ve been so happy to hear on social media, and in reader e-mails that you enjoy both. Also thanks for sending me your Stitch Fix questions. I am always happy to help whenever I can. Pls keep them coming.<3
In summary Stitch Fix is a super fun personal styling service that sends you clothing/accessories based on a style profile you fill out. The company now offers petite, and maternity styles, and you get to choose whether you want a single box, or an ongoing subscription.
If you’ve just discovered TheBoxQueen, I think you may enjoy the detailed Stitch Fix Reviews Category with all my previous Stitch Fix reviews. You’ll find all the info you need on how Stitch Fix works, and see many styled outfits I put together with the pieces I’ve received.
My lovely longtime Stitch Fix stylist once again sent me 5 pieces of clothing that are a gorgeous mix of color, pattern, and variety. I’ll include my reasoning on why I kept/sent back each item but this month, I could have potentially kept everything. I have total love for my stylist, and Stitch Fix. <3 ( pretty obvious by now right? LOL)
Now on to my favorite part of Stitch Fix reviews. Let’s take a closer look at each piece. As usual, I am first including the style cards that come with each SF ( some ladies collect these in albums for future reference) box.
Stitch Fix styled my first piece from the box with boots and a casual jacket for a day look, and elegant accessories for a night one.
Skies are Blue Cruz Halter Dress ($68)
Style Tip: For my Cruz Halter Dress outfit, I went for a summer appropriate look. This time I went for colors from the same color family. Starting with the yellow/pale orange color of the dress, I chose a bright orange bag, brown sunglasses, and beige/orange shoes.
One way you can accessorize an eye catching, patterned dress is by choosing similar colored accessories. This way even if the accessories are bold you’ll still end up with a balanced outfit. In this outfit each of my accessories are actually statement pieces on their own, but the color choices make them easy to flow together.
STATUS: SENT BACK. ( But absolutely loved)
I know you’ll ask me why I sent back a piece I loved this much. As you may remember from my previous reviews, and due to the amount of shopping I do, I only keep items that will be versatile, or are of types of styles I need more of in my closet. I actually bought a couple similar halter dresses late spring. If I hadn’t done that, I would 100% keep this dress.
If you are looking for a halter dress, I recommend you request this one, or you can also check out these two halter dress styles that I own. Dress 1, and Dress 2.
Style Tip: I side braided my hair; I didn’t want to cover up the pretty back of the dress. I use this hairstyle quite a bit with clothing pieces that have lovely backs.

Stitch Fix styled the Skies are Blue Alexa Embroidered Top in two pants outfits. I did like the jeans look and put my own spin to it.
Skies Are Blue Alexa Embroidery Detail Tank ($48)
Style Tip: I took the first Stitch Fix styling card look, and created a similar outfit with my new favorite jeans. I of course changed up the accessories to make the outfit mine. I added nude heels, and a clutch as well as my Kendra Scott drop earrings. Sometimes all you need to do is choose accessories that represent you & your style sense, to change up a casual item such as jeans.
Beautiful embroidery in a gorgeous color.
STATUS: SENT BACK
On first impression, when I got this top out of my Stitch Fix box, I had every intention to keep it. My stylist checked my Pinterest Stitch Fix board, and saw that this top was one of my Stitch Fix likes from there. It was very nice of her to send it to me, and the color, fabric, and embroidery are all very charming. When I tried out the top on, I didn’t find it especially flattering on my body unfortunately. It was a bit too loose.
This similar top ended up being a better fit for my body shape, and is a similar style/color.

Stitch Fix styling cards showed the Papermoon maxi dress in two casual outfits.
Papermoon Waters Printed Maxi Dress ($68)
Style Tip: I adore maxi dresses in summer as they are so effortlessly stylish, and only require a couple of accessories to turn into a quick, chic look even when you only have 10 minutes to get ready. I like that this dress had its own built-in fabric elastic around the waist area. It serves as a belt, and eliminates one more step from the dressing up process 🙂 Perfect for lazy days.
I just added a boho statement necklace (also seen here) that is similar in style to the boho vibes of the dress, hoop earrings, and wedge cut – out open toe booties that are on trend this season.
STATUS: SENT BACK
I’ve kept a maxi dress from Stitch Fix not too long ago. ( see here) As I mentioned, I love maxi dresses, and bought quite a many from summer sales. I simply did not need another one, however if you are in the market for a maxi dress, the fit on this one is great. Totally recommend.

Stitch Fix styled the Canvey Lace Detail Blouse in two jean outfits; shorts, and pants.
Renee C Canvey Lace Detail Blouse ($48)
Style Tip: I went to a completely different direction with the Renee C blouse. I loved the pattern, and the color on it, but I was particularly taken with the lace inset. The lace fabric on the blouse inspired me to pair it with my lace midi pleated skirt.
I used the same Michael Kors bag from the first outfit, and my “goes with everything” high heels. A thin belt, and this long necklace completed the outfit. I am loving my new pleated lace skirt. It’s an easy to wear midi, and as the pleats are thin, they are also easier to wear, and are flattering. White is sold out, check out the same skirt in the gorgeous seafoam color.
I happily kept the lace inset top. Not only will I wear it with this lace skirt, but I’ll also pair it with shorts, and pants similar to how Stitch Fix styled it in the styling card. It’s a great addition to my summer wardrobe.

The Tilly Lace Overlay Knit Tank is the kind of clothing piece that makes any look fancy. I like Stitch Fix’s idea of pairing it with simple pants.
Loveappella Tilly Lace Overlay Knit Tank ($48)
Style Tip: As this top glams up anything it’s paired with, I chose a slim fit, white pants to bring out the bright blue of the top even more. I color-blocked with cobalt Mary Jane heels, and added a white/dark navy clutch. My ROCKSBOX necklace dressed up the lace knit top even more. If you are looking for a great white, summer pants try mine. They are so comfy, and have a lovely fit.
STATUS: SENT BACK
Although I do love how the top is fancy, it’s not exactly my style, and I felt like I wouldn’t wear it enough. Otherwise, the quality is nice, and the fabric is substantial. This is a well made piece.

Overall Impressions: Fix #2 of June was another super fun box of really pretty clothing. I found a lovely top that I am happy to add to my closet, and experimented with various styles putting all the outfits together. As evidenced from my current Stitch Fix #26, I love this clothing service, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. <3
Stitch Fix is only $20 to try and that’s completely credited towards your purchase. The nice thing is you can try one box or have a SF delivered to your home monthly depending on your needs.
