Happy July Ladies! I seriously can’t believe we are already almost in mid-summer. I am just getting used to a less hectic schedule, much lighter clothing, and longer days. I need summer to last much longer 🙂 Warm months, and all the fun activities it brings is one of my favorite times of the year. Receiving summer colors, and styles in my clothing subscription boxes is the cherry on top.

Today I’ll share with you my first ever Wantable Style Edit, how this personal styling service works, and of course the outfits I put together with the pieces I got. ( and my keeper 🙂 )

If you’ve been reading TheBoxQueen for a while you may know I’ve been a Wantable subscriber for a very long time- pretty much since they’ve first started the company. Wantable has accessories, make-up, fitness, and intimates boxes available you can subscribe to or try for a single box. Find all my reviews in the Wantable category here.

  • Similar to Fitness Edit (which I reviewed here) Style Edit also lets you try the items picked for you before you buy. You get 5 pieces picked for you by your stylist based on your style profile, and you can keep them for 5 days to try with your own clothes.
  • The styling fee is $20 and fully credited towards your purchases. You can keep or send back any or all of the pieces with the enclosed prepaid envelope. If you keep everything you get 25% off. (similar to Stitch Fix )
  • Although Style Edit is a subscription service, you can skip a month or months anytime.
  • Currently Style Edit is only available to 50 US States.
  • Style Edits sell out very quickly as the service is limited. I am quite impressed with my first box; I think Style Edit is definitely worth a try.

You can fill out your style profile from the “Let’s Get Started ” section anytime and when you are done you can decide to order a Style Edit immediately or later. Filling out these style surveys is half the fun for me. They have so much detail that sometimes I even end up discovering what I like at the moment.

Let’s take a peak inside my first Wantable Style Edit box. I ended up keeping one of the five pieces. (and adore my keeper item <3) I would LOVE to hear which one is your favorite!

IMG_8613BB Dakota – Lily Printed Jumpsuit ($58)

This gorgeous floral printed jumpsuit literally jumped out of the box for me at first glance. It’s such an eye-catching piece, and I really liked the back detail.

Check out the pretty design on the back of the jumpsuit.

STYLE TIP: This jumpsuit would be perfect for a nigth out, a romantic date, or a celebration. As the pant style is wide legged, I paired the jumpsuit with shiny black high heel sandals. I added a two toned clutch and used the white side. I accessorized with statement earrings and a bracelet.

As you may have read in my style posts, I only try to keep pieces that I not only love but also will wear over and over in many different outfits. This jumpsuit was certainly the runner-up piece of the box for me and I seriously considered keeping it.

The pattern is beautiful, the fit is great, and the price is just right. I did buy myself a couple of jumpsuits with bold patterns in the beginning of the season tough, and thought this one would be a bit repetitive.

If you are looking for a lovely jumpsuit, I found the exact BB Dakota one on sale here.

Olive & Oak Summer Night Tank ($48)

This Olive & Oak Tank is another top with a botanical pattern over a black background. The color combo is really pretty. I think this one is a basic tank elevated.

The pink and neon yellow mixed with the subtle blues = LOVE!

STYLE TIP: I thought yellow shorts would pair nicely with the top as it has a hint of yellow in it. I added suede black flat sandals, a bird nest layered necklace, one of my favorite bracelets, and my Wantable feather ring. This top makes a casual outfit a bit more special, and dressed.

As pretty as this top was it wasn’t the statement piece I was looking for. I have many many similar tops and therefore returned it.

Kut from The Kloth- Florence Floral Kimono ($88) AND Jack Lace Hartley Short ($52)

Both the kimono and the shorts in this outfit came from my Wantable Style Edit. I was so happy to receive the kimono as I’ve been looking for just the right one for a while. The Kut from the Kloth version has a gorgeous floral print, and it’s embellished with sparkly beads on both sides. (and the quality of the embellishments is great which is not easy to find)

My Wantable stylist also included these white lace shorts.

Of course I kept the kimono. 🙂 There was no way I was sending it back. I think I’ll get a lot of use out of it; it’s truly a versatile piece. You can match kimono’s with shorts, dresses, and skinny pants. The combinations are endless.

I returned the lace shorts. I do love lace however I like looser fitting styles in shorts.

Tart Collections – Amelina Dress ($132)

The Amelina dress is an almost skin-tight, well-made dress with a really nice fit, beautiful colors, and once again a unique back design.

STYLE TIP: I feel like statement dresses like this one look best with simple accessories. I just added drop earrings, and Mary Jane pumps to the outfit. As the back cut-outs are high up on the dress, I put my hair in a pony tale not to cover them. I like how effortless dresses can be. 🙂

I ended up returning this dress. Honestly I thought for the price I wouldn’t get enough use out of it. I do like the brand Tart tough, and appreciated the nice quality.

Overall Impressions: I certainly think my first Wantable Style Edit was a success. I had a great time all the way from filling out the style survey to trying out the pieces. I received high quality pieces that spoke to me, from on trend brands, and ended up keeping a fab kimono. LOVE!

Have you tried Style Edit? Which pieces from my first box are your favorites? Would love to hear your thoughts & experiences!

They started Style Edit this year not too long ago. I already love their other subs, and was really pleasantly surprised with my first box. Hope you had a fab 4th weekend yourself lovely lady. XOXO, Elif

  • Jody DesChenes

you look great in everything, as always! this box is getting a lot of negativity online, but i got one and altho i only kept jeans (my lifestyle is too casual), i thought the box was really good & On Trend. it drives me crazy when so many people complain that Stitch Fix isn’t ‘fun/trendy/young’ enough, and then they say that boxes that ARE more ‘fun/trendy/young’ (Wantable Style Edit, Daily Look, Moda Box) are too extreme. In my Style Edit, i got a floral jumpsuit and not only was it cute, it looked DARN GOOD! and later i went on to read it named in ‘Top 10 Jumpsuits for Summer’ (somewhere). i hope more people give this box a try with an open mind, knowing they have lots of flowers and colors! i’m glad you kept the kimono (:

    • Theboxqueen

Thanks Jody. I also thought the box was on trend and gave me what I look for in boxes. Fun, surprise factor, and fresh, new pieces. As I also love going shopping to stores/online sites myself and do pick my choices regularly, subscription boxes bring excitement and different styles I may not have tried in stores. The kimono is such a fun piece, I actually loved it at Nordstrom before but it was sold out there. I was so happy to see it in the box. 🙂 Happy Friday dear, XOXO, Elif

I am sad to see the dress go! It is pricy but such a great fit and style.

    • Theboxqueen

It was a great fit, and had a very pretty design. I just couldn’t justify the price tag knowing I can’t get much use out of the dress, and it wasn’t fancy enough for a more formal event. You are right though, was sad to see it go still. 🙂 XOXO, Elif

  • nuray

Great box! All the pieces look functional enough to wear daily. (even the dress) The piece you kept is pretty. I also like the jumpsuit and the top.

    • Theboxqueen

Thanks! They really were all wearable in daylight, and the fit was great on majority of the pieces. Happy Friday. XOXO, Elif

  • You are looking great in ALL pieces you got… In ‘Tart Collections – Amelina Dress’ you are just looking gorgeous! I would love to have that one for me too!

    • Theboxqueen

Thanks Jasmine for the sweetness. <3 Amelina Dress was such a nice fit, and design. If you are looking for a similar dress, I think you would love it. XOXO, Elif

  • Cheryl

I love all of the items you received. Such pretty prints, I especially love all of the florals. I am excited to order my own Style Edit! Hope you are having a great holiday weekend!

    • Theboxqueen

Florals lately have been my thing too 🙂 I was like a kid in a candy store looking all the gorgeous floral prints haha. When are you receiving your Style Edit? I can’t wait to hear your thoughts. XOXO, Elif

      • Cheryl

I haven’t ordered yet- we are doing lots of traveling this month, so I think I will give it a try in Aug. 🙂

  • Sabrina Kwan

I really enjoyed this post. I’ve heard of Wantable before, but haven’t looked into it. I like how thorough you were in this post! From how it works to what you kept and why, it was all so on point. The styling was perfect too!

    • Theboxqueen

Thanks so much Sabrina, I am so happy to learn you enjoyed the review, and the styling!! <3 This was such a fun box to style, and love the piece I kept. 🙂 Have a wonderful Friday. XOXO, Elif
