Maintaining my wellness & health has always been a priority for me. I’ve been a very active participant in sports, and teams from a very young age. After having kids though, my priorities naturally shifted towards making sure I am doing the best I can for them. Sometimes I feel like I need to remember to make an effort to keep taking care of myself. Simple changes that have a big impact are my friend in my fast-paced life. I want to share three simple changes I am making this summer for wellness.

2) MAKE IT A PRIORITY TO DRINK WATER THROUGHOUT THE DAY
I of course already hydrate after outdoor exercises; especially running. What I realized though was that I wasn’t continuing the trend as well during the rest of the day. Staying hydrated throughout the day is so important for your body to function properly. I also notice when I consume enough water, my skin becomes clearer, and more supple.
My solution may make you laugh. I made drinking water fun for myself to stay motivated. I now have about seven water bottles, and this sparkly one is a piece from my collection. Even when I am going out, I can keep a coordinating water bottle (matching my outfit haha) in my purse. They are perfect for in between meals; such as car rides, shopping trips, or just strolling around with your family. 🙂
I know drink about 8 glasses of the recommended water. It’s another simple change I apply which has a huge impact on wellness.

Everyone can find a fruit they love. Right now I increased my intake of fruit to at least 4 servings a day. ( from my previous 2 to 3 servings) I am fully taking advantage of the colorful, and yummy summer fruits such as cherries, blueberries, and grapes. Full of antioxidants, they are THE perfect snacks.
