I am beyond thrilled today to finally share a new edition of a series I came up with last summer; Stitch Fix Remix. Today I’ll show you how I remixed pieces that I’ve kept from previous Stitch Fix months.

You may know that I am all about multi-tasking my clothing items. I only buy/keep pieces that are versatile, and that I can literally make into tens of different outfits. ( You can also see
more examples of how I remix my pieces in TheBoxQueen’s Triple Threat Fashion series) I’ll show you how I styled my Stitch Fix pieces initially, and how I wore them each recently.

If you haven’t heard of Stitch Fix, or in case you’ve just found TheBoxQueen, I invite you to start your reading from the Stitch Fix reviews section. There you’ll find EVERYTHING!! ( seriously, I am on my Fix #28 coming up this week 🙂 ) you need to know about how Stitch Fix works, see many pieces I’ve received, and find my tips on getting your best Stitch Fix.

I can’t wait to share with you my remixes now 🙂 What I set out to do is to show you a completely different type of styling in Stitch Fix Remix. For instance if I styled a piece casually first time around in my SF reviews, I’ll show it in a fancier look now. ( and vice versa) Here we go with my first piece; a gorgeous white tank with pretty embroidery.

1) Pomelo Lana Lace Detail V-Neck Tank

The Pomelo Tank was an item I kept ( along with the whole box of pieces) in my August 2014 Stitch Fix exactly a year ago. Initially I paired it with jeans, and wedges while traveling, and sightseeing last summer. This weekend I wore it to a roof party we attended in the early evening.

My first look from August 2014 Stitch Fix review. You can see more pictures here.

This is how I remixed, and worn my Pomelo tank, in a more glammed up look, to an event this weekend.

Style Tip: For this outfit, I wanted to create a girly look that also had some classic elements to it. I chose a fun coral skirt to pair with my tank, lace peep-toe booties that I felt matched nicely with the lacey embroidery on the top, and added this striped hat that I received recently in one of my favorite lifestyle subscriptions, Little Lace Box. ( See my hat, and all my Little Lace Box reviews here – including a discount code TBQ10 for $10 off of 6 month/yearly subs)

I also chose a black & white clutch to mirror the colors of the majority of the pieces in my outfit.

I received this statement necklace in my latest ROCKSBOX. I love how neutral it is and how it adds shine, and sparkle to my look without clashing with the intentional color choices I made. You can see all my previous ROCKSBOX reviews here and also get a FREE MONTH subscription for yourself with CODE: theboxqueenxoxo .

I also got this ring in my most recent ROCKSBOX ( use theboxqueenxoxo for a FREE MONTH), and I am pretty obsessed with it. 🙂 The design goes all around, and is very delicate. I am definitely keeping it.

2) Renee C Canvey Lace Detail Blouse

The Renee C Lace Detail Blouse is my keeper from Stitch Fix June 2015. When I first saw it, I knew it was a keeper. It’s such a cheerful top with lovely details.

Initially I styled the Renee C top in this outfit with my favorite lace skirt, high heels, and this orange satchel. ( different colors) You can see more photos here in my original review.

Style Tip: This time I wanted to make a casual outfit I can wear at home, to have coffee with a friend or for running errands. I wore my Renee C top untucked, threw on my favorite jeans ( if you like destroyed jeans you may like this Treasure & Bond pair. Very similar to mine in style & fit. Mine are sold out) , and added flat sandals.

I also accessorized with these Kendra Scott earrings, and many Wantable rings. ( all my Wantable reviews here)

I like that the edgier jeans are balanced with the feminine details of the top. 🙂

3) Fun 2 Fun Corten V-Neck Top

My third piece that I remixed is my most recent keeper from July 2015 Stitch Fix which you can see here. In my July review I styled it with the jeans you also saw above, yellow Oxford heels, and a cobalt clutch.

You can see many more pictures and a close-up of the top in this Stitch Fix review.

Style Tip: For a romantic dinner date with my husband, I thought the lovely V cut of the top would look pretty, tucked in a skin-tight skirt, paired with a modern wide belt, and these Joe’s ankle strap pumps. ( same brand, different version) I accessorized with the same cobalt Popbasic clutch.

Absolutely LOVE these Kendra Scott Alex Earrings. The color selection is great too.

I also used my rose gold Michael Kors watch, and my keeper bracelet from this ROCKSBOX review, to complete my date night outfit.

Here are all three of my remixed outfits together below!

Hope you enjoyed this edition of TheBoxQueen’s Stitch Fix Remix. I plan to make this series more of a regular. <3

I love this series. It’s helpful to see how each piece can be made into different outfits. I’ll borrow some ideas from you. The skirt/V top combo is just stunning on you. I am looking forward to see more of Remix posts.

    • Theboxqueen

Yayy it makes me so happy to hear! Of course feel free to borrow as many ideas as you want for your outfits and send me pics 🙂 Happy Thursday!! XOXO, Elif

  • Cheryl

I love the remix series, and I love the idea of changing the styling around to show both casual and dressy options. Sometimes I think of an item as casual wear only or dressy only, so this helps me think outside the box and play with my styling. 🙂

    • Theboxqueen

Exactly! When pieces are interchangeable for dressy/casual outfits so many more options of outfits can be created 🙂 Have you received any good Stitch Fix’s lately?
So happy to hear you like the series. <3 Have a lovely Thursday dear, XOXO, Elif
