Yikes my oldest daughter’s school is starting tomorrow. It’s officially back to my our family’s regular routines. My mom is visiting for about ten more days which are going way too fast. Although there are a couple summer days still left, ( which I’ll cherish) fall mode is officially on.
With the school year starting I am fully embracing fall fashion. A huge part of my fall wardrobe is versatile cardigans I can throw on various outfits. They are a true fall must have. Stylish but cozy is what I look for. I am also sharing my latest finds all under $100 below. I think you’ll love this week’s pretty transitional pieces. Now I’ll admit the cardigan you’ll see me wearing is over $100 BUT I had Nordstrom notes which brought it under for me. ( Ooops and yayy at the same time I guess haha)
First off is my finds ALL under $100. You have to check out these leggings. I bought them during Nordstrom Anniversary sale, and first shared them in this post. I also styled them below with my new cardigan. They are THE most comfortable faux leather leggings ever, and the best part is that the top part is fabric. Love them!!
Aren’t these pumps adorable? I love plaid. Plaid on such a gorgeous classic shoe style is ten times better. 🙂 I love the fringe booties just as much. The color is lovely and fringed booties are so on trend right now.
I wear a lot of tunics over leggings, and vest tunics are a modern version of that look. They are especially fall like in this warm fabric. I also chose this charming backpack to represent the starting school year. Who says we can’t still use backpacks even if our school years are behind. ( or maybe you are still in school and need a pretty bag 🙂 )
FROM THEBOXQUEEN’S CLOSET
Nic +Zoe is a brand I’ve been watching and purchasing here and there for a while. I choose styles I like from them that feel contemporary and well-made. This fall must have cardigan is one of those. I know the actual price is more than $100 but ladies as I also wrote above, I promise I played by the rules. I used some saved Nordstrom notes that brought it under $100. 🙂 It’s the softest piece, the colors are gorgeous and very autumn like.
I chose this cardigan as it is that one item that can double as a jacket on dry days. I feel like I’ll get plenty of use out of it well into winter.
A close- up of the rich colors and fuzzy fabric.
Style Tip: This look is a true fall classic for me. You can see me wearing leggings, booties, a cozy cardigan, and fun accessories at least a couple days a week in this season. I try to make my unofficial fall “uniform” more exciting by choosing pieces that feel special.
For instance, for today’s look, I chose faux leather leggings, a cardigan with an eye-catching pattern, buckled booties that stand out in color cream, and statement jewelry. You can also make your everyday casual looks “new for you” by incorporating a variety of fabrics, details or colors.
How have the last weeks of summer been for you ladies? What fall pieces are you craving lately? I can’t wait to hear your latest experiences.
