Ready to see all my pieces styled? Here we go 🙂
In my October Golden Tote , I received two dresses, a cardigan, one top, a pullover sweater, and knit leggings. Can we take a moment and appreciate the skull tote everything came in? Great nod to Halloween, and the skulls are actually adorable haha- go figure! At the Golden Tote Trading Group, I came across many ladies looking specifically for the skull totes. They are popular!!
For sizing purposes, I am an XS both top and bottom with a curvier shape. I am between 5 4′ and 5 5′ in height. As always find the outfit details & my styling tips under the photos.
Fall For Florals Dress – First Chosen Item
This Collective Concepts dress is my first chosen. I love the brand. The style and cut of the dress is very “me”. My first instinct was to pair the dress either with this draped faux leather jacket (I have it in black) or my faux fur vest. When I saw Golden Tote styling cards’ outfit with a vest, I decided to go with mine as well.
I got the dress in XS and I think it is true to size. I have a slightly longer torso so I was pleasantly surprised that the waist section hit me where it should. This dress also gives you a bit of a wiggle room with the waist area and length as you can adjust both.
I wore a navy faux fur vest over my dress and chose Navy Mary Jane’s (identical to this one) to go with it. As the vest and the dress are both busy and are statement pieces, I used smaller, more delicate jewelry to complete my look. This Kendra Scott Necklace I got from one of my ROCKSBOX’s added an elegant sparkle. ( Get a FREE MONTH of ROCKSBOX here with my CODE: theboxqueenxoxo)
The print is lively and I think the colors are great for fall.

Le Lis Printed Lace Detail Blouse
I couldn’t be more excited to see this surprise lace detail blouse come out of my Golden Tote Box. It fits my style taste perfectly.
I wrote above that this top matched my style taste perfectly. This is because it has girly and edgy design elements in the same one piece. The lace, and the blouse’s style are very feminine and the pattern and the black lace are edgier. I wanted to continue the girly/edgy look throughout the outfit. I chose tattered Stiletto Jeans ( Destroyed- Untattered Blue Version Here) and the more feminine pumps to balance both styles.
I used a clear rock ring from this review and my two tone clutch.

Catwalk Cowl Neck Poncho & Bo Bel Leggings
When I first saw this surprise as a spoiler on Facebook, I thought it was another poncho. I wasn’t really sure I liked the style. Well I was wrong to second guess this sweeter. For one it is not open on the sides so it is more of a pullover. It also has the nicest drape, length, and just enough warmth. I matched it with the knit leggings that also came in my Golden Tote. I wore this outfit this past weekend when we took the kids to a museum near the riverfront.
Matching the sweater and the knit leggings was an easy choice. I wore my (sold out) Mea Shadow boots over the leggings. (very similar here) I liked that the boots gave the outfit and me 🙂 bit of a lift but the mid heel was still casual and easy to walk in.
I tied my hair up which I like to do with bigger cowl neck/turtleneck sweaters. These Kendra Scott drop Earrings ( see in this review) added some color and they were the right length. (When drop earrings are too long they can catch in big turtlenecks) My cross body bag was easy to carry and held all the essentials. It also added more pop while staying in the same color family.

Vida Clothing Floral Dress
The Vida Clothing Floral Dress is a surprise dress chosen by my stylist KB. I am guessing she went by my comment of liking fitted pieces, color, and flowers. This dress has all three. It is size small and fitted like a glove. I wore this to a date night with my hubby.
Dress: Golden Tote | Shoes: Report | Earrings: Stitch Fix (keeper from this month) | Clutch: Golden Tote
The black eyelet detail clutch is also from Golden Tote, back from the days they did accessory totes. I kept the accessories simple by and added some shine with the crystal flower earrings.
Southwestern Car Coat – Second Chosen Item
My second chosen item is the long southwestern car coat cardigan. It is mostly an open cardigan with a tiny hook holding the top closed if you like. I got mine in size small/medium and as GT also states this cardigan has a looser fit. On me it fits just a tad large around the shoulders however it wasn’t big enough to bother me.
I personally didn’t want to add any more bulk under the cardigan (even as jeans) and I paired it with these leggings this time in teal. I mentioned lately that I bought the textured/paneled leggings in burgundy and navy as well. They really are the best! See the burgundy version here, and the navy version here.
Under the leggings, I wore these booties. I wanted there to be definition between the leggings and my shoe to balance out the shape of the cardigan. You could of course easily wear a longer boot, especially if you are taller, or where you live is colder. The Kendra Scott necklace ( see it in this review) completed my outfit.

Overall Impressions: October Golden Tote felt like such a great value especially because it included two sweaters. The fact that all six pieces are very wearable made it even better for me. I think fall/winter Golden Totes are my favorites. Make sure to sign up to free Golden Tote Newsletter to get all the announcements on time.
