Wantable Style Edit October marks my third Style Edit box from the subscription brand. This time I didn’t get my box right before a trip haha, (like my August Style Edit ) so I’ll have a good amount of time to evaluate each piece at the comfort of my home. I’ve been a Wantable customer for such a long time, pretty much since they’ve started. I get their accessories sub, their make-up box, as well as the Style& Fitness Edits. My first Intimates Wantable box is also about to arrive any day. I like the brands, and items they carry and I especially appreciate their customer service.
You can find very detailed information on how various Wantable subscriptions work in the Wantable Reviews Section. You’ll also see the brands and pieces the company sends, and my thoughts on each Wantable sub.
Style, and Fitness Edits are different from Wantable’s Accessories, Make-up and Intimates subs in the sense that they are more like a personal styling service. ( similar to Stitch Fix) You receive a box of 5 pieces and get to try everything at the convenience of your home for 5 days. ( I like that you have a longer window to decide) I also like that Wantable sends mostly current items, and you can purchase a single box or choose to receive Style Edit every month.
My Previous Edit Reviews
Before I start, I want to mention that I made a mistake of not updating my Wantable Style Profile before ordering this fall box. My last Style Edit was in August, and at the time I had my profile set at no sweaters, no jackets, practically no cold weather items. I totally forgot changing the summer profile to a winter one. I ended up receiving mostly warm weather appropriate items as a result. I just went back and completely revamped my Style Profile today. I am excited to see what Wantable has in store for fall.
BCBG Generation Double Layer Tank ($29) & Finders Keepers Renaissance Skirt ($98)
This tank top ( that is on sale here in a couple colors) was the first item out of my box. I thought it looked lovely with the Finders Keepers skirt that also came in my October Style Edit. I think for someone who lives in a warm climate the tank would be perfect. It’s lined in the front and sheer on the back. I think it looks super cute with a bralette.
The skirt was pretty but the fabric was a bit stiff for my taste. I liked that the skirt had pockets and the quality was surely there. I have many striped skirts so probably not keeping this one. I completed my outfit with these classic black pumps. The jewelry is also Wantable.
Top: Wantable (Exact same on sale here) | Skirt: Wantable | Shoes: Report | Jewelry: Wantable (see the necklace in this review)
French Connection Capri Knit ($98)
Style Tip: This super lightweight knit is very modern and on trend. It is shorter in the front and longer in the back. The back is also made of a textured fabric. I thought the cropped front would look nice with my latest denim purchase; these high rise skinnies that are on sale. ( I love the flattering cut on these jeans.) A floppy fedora, and a patterned fun clutch added some movement to the outfit. The ankle strap pumps gave the look the much needed extra color.
All the jewelry pieces are also from previous Wantable accessories boxes. See September accessories review for the necklace.
Top: Wantable | Jeans: Topshop ( On sale here) | Hat: Similar here | Shoes: Joe’s Ankle Strap | Clutch: Stitch Fix (see in this review) | Jewelry: Wantable
The textured back.
Tart Ansley Cutout Back Top ($84)
My 4th piece was this cutout back tank. Like I wrote on the very top of my post, I made the mistake of not updating my Wantable Style Profile for Style Edit and had tanks marked as “love” and sweaters as “dislike”. Unfortunately as a result I received a second tank top.
Style Tip: This top is actually quite pretty. It has a bult in bra so you don’t have to deal with your bra showing from the sides or back. The shape is suitable for tucking in as well as wearing over skinnies. I paired mine with this Golden Tote skirt (from this review) and my new white Pashmina. ( from this Little Lace Box Review)
Top: Wantable (same top different print here) | Skirt: Golden Tote (sub to free newsletter here for sales) | Shoes: Zara | Pashmina: LittleLaceBox USE TBQ10 for $10 off (see this review) | Jewelry: Wantable
The back detail of the top is pretty too. I don’t need any more tanks so I won’t be keeping this. I do appreciate the beauty of it tough.
You may be wondering where my 5th piece is. My 5th item from Wantable Style Edit October was this Kut from the Kloth dress ( one of my fave brands) you can see above. I couldn’t model it for you myself as I received it in the wrong size. I was disappointed as this dress could have been a keeper. It is fall appropriate and very versatile.
I contacted customer service and in my opinion that is where Wantable really shined. I immediately received an apology email. They couldn’t send me the smaller size as they didn’t have it in stock anymore, however they refunded me my styling fee to be used in a future Style Edit. I was happy to get a quick resolution.
Overall Impressions: October Style Edit was a very pretty “warmer weather” box due to my own lack of updating the Style Profile. I have updated my preferences since and can’t wait to see what fall items I’ll get in November. Wantable customer service also quickly corrected the mistake they made which I appreciated.
