My Stitch Fix #33 is the last one of 2015. With my 34th Stitch Fix in January, a new year will be beginning in just a short couple of weeks. Stitch Fix December 2015 definitely closes my year of Stitch Fix Boxes with a big bang.
My dear long-term stylist included many beautiful pieces in this month’s box, and kindly listened to all my requests I wrote in my “note to your stylist” section. I asked for a pair of skinny jeans, more sweaters, I believe a holiday dress, and another fun jacket. I received them all and then some. I can’t wait to share my two keepers with you. (yeah you heard it right! Two 🙂 ) I just LOVE both!!!
As a quick recap, Stitch Fix is one of my very favorite (and I mean it ladies, do I need to say more? Stitch Fix #33 haha) personal styling services. You go to Stitch Fix Website, fill out a detailed style profile with ALL your style preferences (you can even connect your social media such as a Pinterest Style Board) and for a $20 styling fee that’s completely applicable to your purchases as credit, you order a Stitch Fix box.
You get to request all clothing pieces, or you can ask for accessories such as jewelry and handbags. There are even petite, and maternity options available now.
If you are new to TheBoxQueen, you can find MUCH MORE detail, and so many examples of the brands/pieces Stitch Fix sends in TheBoxQueen Stitch Fix Category.

GREAT HOLIDAY GIFT OPTION
One of my favorite gift cards to give to friends is Stitch Fix Gift Cards. You can purchase them in a variety of increments. You can choose to have them sent in an email, via snail mail, or you can even choose to print them at the comfort of your home. My friends who have received it from me so far have always been so excited. There is also nothing more fun then comparing notes, and talk about what we receive in our boxes. <3
In my Stitch Fix December 2015 box I got a cardigan, a sparkled holiday dress, a crochet back top, a pair of dark skinny denim, and a faux suede jacket. I know you all really want to see all the items & the styling. 🙂 I won’t keep you waiting for long. As always you can find my outfit details, whether I kept/sent back each piece, and my style tips under the photos.
These styling cards come with each Stitch Fix box. The stylists at SF styled the open cardigan with jeans both for day and night. They changed up the accessories to make the look casual or fancier.
Staccato Dinah Open Front Cardigan ($48)
This cardigan is a lightweight option with a really nice drape, length, pattern, and color combination.
Style Tip: The moment I saw this Stitch Fix Cardigan, I thought of my plaid pumps. You may have seen before how I love to use my plaid pumps for pattern mixing in small doses or pattern on pattern looks. ( See this Plaid & plaid pattern mixing and this pattern mix with the plaid pumps and heart sweater) I chose to mix in faux leather leggings; I think they added an extra layer of texture.
I prefer to add in a lighter color when using a lot of deep colors in my outfits, and wore this white top (from Golden Tote) to add a touch of brightness. These sunglasses are a very recent purchase, and I love their universal shape, and dark brown color. They are also a MAJOR deal at 40% off.
Status – Sent Back
This Stitch Fix cardigan is a really pretty piece, and if you need a new open cardigan, or if you are just starting to collect these type of cardigans I would highly recommend it. I do have many open cardigans. This is not to say I would never keep a new one. It would just have to be something that is very different from the pieces I already own. The Dinah Open Cardigan’s pattern, and coloring, is too similar to a couple cardigans in my closet. This is the only reason that made sending this piece back an easy choice.
Cardigan: Stitch Fix | Faux Leather Leggings: Leith- sold out (Identical Option Great Value) | Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs | Top: Golden Tote Lace Back | Shoes: Plaid Pumps | Jewelry: Wantable (all reviews here) | Bag: B. Makowsky – old season (Another lovely black bag)
Stitch Fix styled the Roselyn Dress with booties and an open cardigan for day, and with a blazer and pumps for a fancier look.
Skies Are Blue Roselyn Dress ($68)
Style Tip: This dress was the answer from my Stitch Fix Stylist to my request of a holiday party dress. I immediately liked it out of the box. The shape is classic but the fabric is different and special. It also has a beautiful back cut-out. It was easy to style this pretty piece. I just added pointy black heels, stacked two statement bracelets together, wore my drop earrings, and added this leopard clutch.
Status – Kept
My dear Stitch Fix Stylist Ishara did an amazing job matching me with this beautiful holiday dress. The moment I laid my eyes on it, I knew I would keep this dress. After putting it on I loved it even more. I plan to wear the dress to a New Year’s Party.
These bracelets are both from Rocksbox. The Loren Hope one is a past keeper item, and the bow bracelet came in my latest Rocksbox. I love them worn together. <3

Papermoon Athenia Crochet Back Top is styled in a jeans/booties combo for day, and a with a pencil skirt for night.
Papermoon Athenia Crochet Back Top ($48)
Style Tip: I thought Papermoon Athenia Crochet Back Top would look really cute tucked in the front and untucked on the back paired with my new favorite ripped jeans. ( You can also see these jeans here with an orange turtleneck sweater, and also here in my favorite fall coats post)
I got the chunky infinity scarf in my latest Wantable accessories box and chose it to introduce more navy to the top as well as for practical warmth reasons. Navy Mary Janes identical to this pair.
As to accessories I wore my newest Rocksbox jewelry including the House of Harlow arrow ring. ( GET your FREE MONTH of Rocksbox Here Code:theboxqueenxoxo such a fun jewelry service) I thought the outfit needed some kind of spark, a bit of fun, and I got just that with this new purchase, a timeless animal print clutch. Leopard print does stand out, especially in all solid color looks.
Close up of the leopard clutch. I think it’s a great value for such a versatile piece. The size is just right too. I was able to fit in my phone, credit card wallet, car and house keys as well as a lipstick very comfortably.
The arrow ring which you can also see here is from Rocksbox. I really think you should take advantage of the FREE MONTH. Just go here, enter my CODE: theboxqueenxoxo. It’s commitment free, and you get to experience the jewelry service first hand. They send really amazing brands.

I’ve been a crochet fan for a while. I especially like crochet as detail on tops, and dresses. As a result I have quite a big collection of crochet detail tops. I’ll say this though, by the time I tried this top on, if I hadn’t already decided on my two keepers, I could potentially have kept the top. It’s pretty!!!
In Stitch Fix styling cards Posy Faux Suede Open Drape Jacket is shown with jeans and boots, as well as in a dress outfit with sparkly accessories.
Skies Are Blue Posy Faux Suede Open Drape Jacket ($78) Every month I ask my stylist for unique jackets. I have kept one of my favorite jackets ever from Stitch Fix last year ( This One and It is On Sale Now!!! Highly Recommend), and I’ve also kept another faux leather moto about 2,5 yrs ago. I keep wanting more, and my stylist sends me all the cute, original draped jackets she can find. 🙂 I absolutely love that she does!
Style Tip: I believe I’ve mentioned before that lately I am very into navy/burgundy and teal/burgundy combos. I really love these colors together. I thought my V neck Sweater dress would be the perfect dress under the faux suede jacket. I wanted to continue the line from the dress with the burgundy heels. Pantone color of the year is Rose Quartz this year and it goes so well with the rich burgundies. I chose my bag in this lovely pinkish hue.
Dress: BP Burgundy Dress | Jacket: Stitch Fix | Shoes: Joe’s Pumps | Bag: Street Level | Bracelet: Rocksbox ( Get FREE MONTH w/CODE: theboxqueenxoxo) | Earrings: Wantable
I like the size of this bag, and love the bow bracelet & arrow ring worn together.

I like the color, and shape of this jacket. I can’t put my finger on it but there was something I couldn’t like about the fabric. It is faux suede and it felt velvety. It also reminded me of microfiber couches that I had during graduate school years ago. Haha. If the fabric wouldn’t bother you, I think this jacket has a gorgeous drape.
These versatile jeans are seen on the Stitch Fix styling cards in a perfectly casual day outfit, as well as paired with high heel sandals in a glam look.
Just Black Dean Skinny Jean ($78)
I mentioned in my note to my stylist that I would love to receive new skinny jeans. I was excited to see this darker denim, zippered, and in ankle length. If you’ve been a long time reader, you probably know that I am partial to destroyed jeans. I have such a huge collection of those. I don’t have as many darker jeans, especially in this classic style. (and unripped haha)
Style Tip: I recently bought this sweater. I love that it’s shorter in the front, and longer in the back. I added the pinkish bag, and an infinity scarf to add pattern & texture. I finished off the outfit with grey suede pumps. Another color combination that I adore, and use a lot is pink +grey. This Kendra Scott necklace added a bit of a modern touch peaking under the infinity scarf.
These Stitch Fix jeans fill a big hole in my closet both in terms of style, and the darker wash. I happily kept it, and I know I’ll wear them often.
Sweater: Nordstrom | Jeans: Stitch Fix | Pumps: Suede Pointy Pumps | Scarf: Infinity Scarf | Bag: Street Level | Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs | Jewelry: Kendra Scott (Ivory Mother of Pearl)
OVERALL IMPERESSIONS: My December Stitch Fix is a huge success. My stylist sent such great colors, and textures once again. Most importantly she listened to me, my needs, and requests. I kept two pieces that fit right into my wardrobe. This Stitch Fix definitely ended the year right. <3
If you are curious about Stitch Fix, I recommend that you give it a try to experience the service yourself. I think the excitement, and receiving pretty clothes chosen by a personalstylist in the mail is worth the $20 styling fee. You’ll almost always find at least one item you’ll love. In that case your styling fee will be credit towards your purchase.
