My Stitch Fix #36 brought with it plenty of excitement as always and came with a huge change. When I get my box of my pretties, every time, I first open up the white tissue paper attached together by a Stitch Fix sticker label, and look through the five pieces stacked on top of each other. This time I immediately knew there was something different looking at the pieces I received, and I suspected the box was not styled by my regular stylist. ( We got to know each other that well over the years 🙂 )
I grabbed the styling cards which realized my suspicion. The note said Ishara was no longer styling with Stitch Fix, and that now I had a different stylist. This is kinda bittersweet as I had
the same stylist for years, and as many of you may know, she felt like a styling soulmate. On the other hand, I am also excited as my new stylist really tried to get to know me as she wrote a very personalized note that I really appreciated. <3 I am looking forward to share more of my preferances with her so she can match me with awesome SF pieces.
UPDATE: My March Stitch Fix Review & $50 Stitch Fix Gift Card Giveaway is live!
If you’ve just stumbled upon TheBoxQueen Stitch Fix Reviews, a big welcome!! You can find ALL the information you need on how Stitch Fix works and tips on how to get your best Stitch Fix here. You can also see my detailed reviews, outfits I made with each piece, and style tips for inspiration.
You can also find new Stitch Fix Pieces, and my SF outfits in TheBoxQueen Pinterest Board.
I start reviewing each piece with its style card from Stitch Fix, followed by the outfit I put together. Under the photos you’ll find the style tips, outfit details, and my reasons for keeping/sending back each item.
Now let’s start the fun! In February Stitch Fix box I received three tops, one dress, and a sweater poncho. This time around I received more lightweight, summery items than I would have liked. I made sure to write a note to my new stylist, and mentioned the chillier NW weather we are having. The funny thing is, I ended up keeping one of those summery pieces haha. <3
Stitch Fix styled this gorgeous cowl neck poncho over jeans for a casual day look, and with an elegant skirt for a fancier outfit.
FREEWAY GRETTI COWL PONCHO ($78)
Style Tip: This unique poncho immediately reminded me of my new ripped skinny jeans (also see them here, and in this post ) & suede over the knee boots.(linked to very similar pair) I thought those three would make a lovely trio. The texture of the poncho is so different, and lovely that I didn’t think the outfit needed many more embellishments so I kept it simple.
A big tote is so practical for running around during the day from an activity to another. ( I fill mine with my kids necessities, books, makeup bag & more 🙂 ) I bought this Isabella Fiore tote on sale here (now sold out) , and I think this tote is another wonderful option.
Look at that fuzzy, cozy fabric. I love it!! I wore my silver tone ring I kept from Rocksbox months ago. To this day, I use it all the time. Did you get your FREE MONTH of Rocksbox yet? You can get it here with CODE: theboxqueenxoxo (see all my Rocksbox Reviews here)
STATUS – SENT BACK
I thought long and hard on this one. It was one of the two strong contenders of Stitch Fix February 2016. I think I overdid it with poncho style pullovers lately. Not only did I get a couple from some of my other clothing boxes, but I also bought this one on sale quite recently. (and LOVE it) At the end of the day, I decided to send this piece back. I must say it is a super cool item and I would recommend it wholeheartedly.
Poncho: Stitch Fix | Jeans: Distressed High Rise | Boots: Sam Edelman- sold out (Great option Suede Over the Knee Boots, Same brand option ) | Bag: Isabella Fiore – sold out Same Brand on sale ( Great tote option, Budget option) | Jewelry: Via Rocksbox – Get Your FREE MONTH here with CODE: theboxqueenxoxo | Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Stitch Fix styled the Papermoon Fatima Dress with white jacket/cardigan for a casual/fancy outfits and just changed up the accessories.
PAPERMOON FATIMA DRESS ($78)
The Papermoon Fatima Dress is a beautiful, flowy, lightweight summer dress. The color combination is pretty, and I like the print.
Style Tip: My new stylist mentioned in the note she wrote that this dress may look cute with chunky heels. I thought she was spot on as I also thought of my chunky, peep toe booties the moment I saw the dress. I like nude heels especially because they elongate the legs, and that they easily pair with a variety of colors. (love these cool peep toe booties)
I wanted to continue the effortless look of the flowy dress with my accessory choices. A simple, mini cross body bag (look at this cute cross body), and frames the same pink as the pink in the dress (another cheerful pink frame option) along with a purple bracelet completed my outfit.
STATUS – KEPT
Although I needed more colder weather pieces at this time of the year, I couldn’t pass up this Stitch Fix dress. It has a very effortless quality to it that I enjoy to have a lot of in my closet. I plan to wear it with light cardigans in the spring, and on it’s own with sandals in the summer.
Dress: Stitch Fix | Shoes: Abound- sold out (Same brand fringe peep toe, Love this olive color option) | Handbag: Banana Republic – sold out (Current Banana R. Option, Great budget option) | Sunglasses: Similar pink frame | Jewelry: Wantable (See my reviews)
Stitch Fix styled this blouse perfectly for day and night. I adore those jeans, and the faux leather, pleated skirt.
DANIEL RAINN KODA SPLIT NECK BLOUSE ($68)
Style Tip: The black flower print on the white blouse is truly stunning. My first instinct was to pair the feminine print with a contrasting, edgier bottom. I think faux leather leggings, ( this one on sale) add that edge. I wanted to complete the outfit with an unexpected color and pattern. I did a subtle print mixing with my neutral leopard print pumps.
Of course I need to bit of cheerful color in almost all my outfits, and added this gorgeous pink zippered Rebecca Minkoff bag. It’s sold out in almost all color options, however I was able to find it in black.
STATUS – SENT BACK
This is by all means a beautiful blouse. The print is eye catching, and the style is a classic. I just recently received an all black version of this style from Modcloth Stylish Surprise, and also has this green one from Modcloth. Although this type of blouses are pretty timeless, I find that I don’t wear this style all that much. It feels a bit too classic for me. I am sending back but if you love this type of pieces I can definitely recommend.
Top: Stitch Fix ( similar style I have) | Faux Leather Leggings: Very similar option on sale | Handbag: Rebecca Minkoff | Shoes: Sam Edelman Pumps on Sale | Jewelry: Wantable (See my reviews) | Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs
The lasercut detail blouse is shown with jeans, and a skirt in the Stitch Fix styling cards. I like both looks.
MARKET & SPRUCE JULI LASERCUT DETAIL BLOUSE ($48)
Style Tip: The Juli Lasercut detail blouse has a really nice hem design (which I’ll show you below) but I couldn’t keep myself from tucking it in one of my favorite midi skirts haha. I just love polka dots and this midi together to create a retro inspired outfit. I wanted to add a modern touch with the large clutch, and finished off my look with these burgundy pumps.
As the sleeveless top already had vibrant colors, I chose to anchor my outfit with a neutral main piece with the skirt, and the accessory clutch before I completed the look with the shiny pumps.
STATUS – SENT BACK
A super cute piece indeed. I simply don’t need more sleeveless tops at the moment. I did adore the polka dots though. <3

Stitch Fix styled the Jes Keyhole Blouse under a parka, over jeans and with a pencil skirt.
FUN2FUN JES KEYHOLE BLOUSE ($48)
Style Tip: I’ve been wearing the Liverpool pull on jeans I kept from Stitch Fix in January so much. I styled the Jes Keyhole Blouse with these jeans, and wanted to create an everyday casual look. I’ve bought the Nine West lace-up flats a while ago, ( See this latest style from the same brand) and ladies I think everyone needs a pair!! They are pretty and comfy, a very difficult to find combo, and I love to wear mine with ankle length pants, and jeans.
Classic, timeless accessories like the Michael Kors watch, and the Loren Hope bracelet (via Rocksbox. Get your FREE month here with Code:theboxqueenxoxo ) help keep the look clean.

I have to say. Although I liked styling this top, it was the only top I had problems shape wise. The top is a bit too wide, and short in length for me, and I didn’t find it flattering on my body type. My waist is the slimmest part of my body, and I learned a long time ago boxy tops can be unflattering. ( I own this similar top though and really like it– lays closer to my body )
Top: Stitch Fix (Similar option I have & adore) | Pants: Liverpool Jeans ( Keeper from this SF review) | Lace-up Flats: Nine West – Same brand current style | Clutch: Topshop | Bracelet: Loren Hope via Rocksbox – Get your FREE MONTH here with Code: theboxqueenxoxo ) Earrings: Wantable | Watch: Michael Kors | Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Overall Impressions: I love my Stitch Fix’s. Being on my 36th box I think everyone should try it at least once to see how they like it. (sometimes it takes a couple boxes to find a good rhythm with your stylist) This box was a surprise with my stylist change but nevertheless thrilling. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for me next. <3
