The day has come! May Stitch Fix marks the 40th box I received from this fun personal styling service I am a huge fan of. With this new milestone, I was lucky to get an amazing box. It was almost as if my lovely stylist wanted to celebrate with me. She completely gets my style, and each month I am having a difficult time choosing what to keep. (Which is ironically a GREAT thing haha)

Getting Your Best SF Tip: For my May Stitch Fix, I requested off the shoulder styles, colorful summer pieces, and a fab pair of heels. If you are not connecting with your stylist via “Notes to Your Stylist”, you are seriously missing out ladies. I recommend that you remind your requests to your stylist each month through this feature. In my opinion it works as a handy reminder of your style needs/ and wants.

In this box, I received two gorgeous dresses, two tops, and bright yellow heels. What a pleasant surprise it was to open my May box!! I am still undecided on which one(s) of the three pieces to keep from my favorites.
Collective Concepts Joliee Embroidered Dress ($84)
I got this dress out of the box first. It’s by Collective Concepts, a brand I have many pieces from in my closet. I adore the cheerful print, and the beautiful color mix. This dress is one of the three pieces I am considering keeping.
Style Tip: This dress does not need many extra embellishments, I thought it made a statement on its own. I paired it with the gorgeous yellow pumps that also came in my May Stitch Fix. I added the Kendra Scott drop earrings I got in my latest RocksBox (Get your FREE Month here with CODE: theboxqueenxoxo ), this bangle bracelet, and a delicate lace cut-out shoulder bag. I wanted to keep the look girly, and cheerful.
Nine West Xeena Pointed Toe Pump ($79)
I have plans to buy a pair of yellow shoes for this summer so I was pretty excited to see these beauties in my Stitch Fix Box. It’s one of the three pieces I love and that I am deciding on. ( I found the exact pair here.) I think I rather have yellow sandals for the warm months; however the pumps are super hard to resist. They are adorable! <3
Dress: Stitch Fix (Option I like Under $50) | Shoes: Stitch Fix – Nine West Pumps | Bag: Stella & Dot | Bracelet: Stella & Dot | Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs | Earrings: Kendra Scott ( Via Rocksbox – Get Your Free Month Here with CODE: theboxqueenxoxo )
STATUS FOR THE DRESS & THE PUMPS: UNDECIDED
Fun2Fun Mina Split Neck Blouse ($38)
This top is a great basic, and the print made it a bit more interesting with the eye catching colors. For some reason, it reminded me the Renee C top I got in my latest Golden Tote. (See the review here)
Style Tip: I love the orange tones in the tank, and thought it would make a nice casual, daytime outfit matched with my burnt orange shorts. I highly recommend LOFT’s shorts btw. Every year I buy a couple new shorts from the brand, of the same style. So far they stood the test of time besides being one of my most reached for summer items.
I wore a wide bracelet, and mini drop earrings to add some shine to my look. These wedges go with EVERYTHING! Plus they really balance out the body proportions AND they are comfortable. LOVE THEM!
STATUS: RETURNING This is a great everyday piece but I feel like I have too many of this style in my wardrobe already.
Top: Stitch Fix ( Great Option I love Under $40) | Shorts: LOFT | Shoes: Michael Kors Wedge | Bag: Stitch Fix (Similar Style ) | Sunglasses: PRADA ( By DITTO ENDLESS EYEWEAR – Get a Free Month Here w/ CODE: THEBOXQUEEN) Bracelet: Rocksbox- Get Your Free Month Here with CODE: theboxqueenxoxo | Earrings: Wantable
Skies Are Blue Conan Cold Shoulder Embroidered Dress ($78)
I don’t even know how to start describing the love I have for this dress. It’s everything I asked for. Cold Shoulder detail check, intricate, feminine fabric check, lovely fit & length check; it totally is a dream for summer nights. (or days)
Style Tip: This charming dress would look amazing with flats or high heel sandals. I have a vision of wearing it on vacation, for summer nights out, so I paired mine with my cobalt heels. ( via Trunk Club – They are my keeper from this review) I wore my hair in a Fishtail braid. There are so many pretty details on the dress you wouldn’t want to cover. (see my Fishtail Braid Tutorial)
The Kendra Scott drop earrings added to the romantic feel of the outfit, and I used my lace cut out bag to keep the look in the same color family. I wanted the shoes to be the only pop of color. (other than the earrings)
The back of the dress has cute details too.
STATUS – KEEPING It goes without saying that I am keeping this favorite of May box.
Le Lis Kelden Ruffle Sleeve Blouse ($48)
The fifth & final piece of May Stitch Fix is the ruffle, bell sleeve Le Lis Blouse. If you like this piece, and plan to request it, one word of caution is that it is show through, and most likely will need to be layered. I layered mine with a white tank.
Style Tip: The ruffle sleeve blouse has such a stunning color combination. The yellow pumps were made to be worn with this top; I loved them so much together. I wanted to anchor all the cheerful colors with my recent purchase, white jeans.
STATUS – RETURNING Although I love the vibrancy of this blouse, the truth is I really need sleeveless / short sleeve styles. I also don’t prefer it when pieces are sheer. The extra layer, in the summer, can be too much on hot days.
Top: Stitch Fix (Blouse I Like) | Jeans: Caslon | Shoes: Stitch Fix – Exact Shoe Here | Clutch: ORVIS (see it here) | Sunglasses: Stella &Dot | Bracelet: Rocksbox – Get Your Free Month Here with CODE: theboxqueenxoxo | Earrings: Wantable
Overall Impressions: My milestone 40th Stitch Fix box was a big success with another group of well chosen pieces that spoke to me. I am definitely keeping the lace, cold shoulder dress, and may keep the shoes, and the first dress as well. (Trying to decide still) As a very long time subscriber, I do recommend you try to service for yourself to see how you like it. It’s super fun to wait for a box of pretties.
