The weekend, and the Memorial Day Holiday gave me a taste of the upcoming summer break especially with the sunnier Portland weather, and schools being out. These three days made me remember how much I need time off from all the hustle & bustle of our daily life, and how I literally need to stop to smell the flowers. (which I did btw as our neighborhood had the most beautiful blooms this weekend, and we did so much walking. ) Hope you all had a great time and got to rest a bit ladies.

My 41st Stitch Fix was a source of excitement as always. I LOVE receiving the box with the green Stitch Fix logo on my door step, and unless the kids are at school, looking inside it is a family affair. 🙂 In June Stitch Fix, I received a pair of chunky heels, a romper, and three tops. Btw, DON’T FORGET to enter the $50 Stitch Fix Gift Card Giveaway at the end of the post.

Before I go into the details of June Stitch Fix, if you are new to TheBoxQueen, I would invite you to start your reading from the very detailed Stitch Fix Review Section. I’ve also pointed out some of my Stitch Fix Highlights below.

Getting Your Best SF Tip: If you are not connecting with your stylist via “Notes to Your Stylist”, you are seriously missing out ladies. I recommend that you remind your requests to your stylist each month through this feature. In my opinion it works as a handy reminder of your style needs/ and wants.

Now onto my sparkling new June Stitch Fix contents. Here we go lovelies. Make sure to look under the photos for my style tips, info on why I kept or sent back pieces, and the outfit details.

Bishop + Young Rodrigo Side Split Blouse ($54)

Style Tip: Untucked I felt like the loose shape of the blouse, and all the extra fabric swallowed me. My solution was half tucking the blouse in the front, and pairing it with a waist defining pair of shorts. (Btw I LOVE my new purchase of these flamingo shorts. Also see them in Go Shopping with Theboxqueen)

I added my new favorite shoulder bag ( Kept from this review) accessorized with this seasons trend tassels, and the most versatile shoe of my summer shoe collection, these neutral wedges. I kept the jewelry simple with golden drop earrings, and my most worn piece of jewelry lately, the bracelet I kept from Rocksbox. (Get Your Free Month of Rocksbox here with CODE: theboxqueenxoxo)

Bishop + Young Rodrigo Side Split Blouse
Bishop + Young Rodrigo Side Split Blouse

I love the color mustard. I always think of it as a modern neutral. Before I tried on this blouse, I thought it would be my favorite. When I finally put it on, though I must admit it did feel well made, I was not a huge fan of the super loose cut. There was just too much fabric everywhere, and I thought the top made me look bigger on top than I actually am. We need pieces that flatter so I decided to send the top back.

PaperMoon Welton Bow Back Detail Top ($48)

This Bow Back Top is just plain darling. It has so much going for it. From the layers of mini tassels to the bow back detail, from the gorgeous color combo to the sweet print, it is one lovely piece.

Style Tip: I just bought these crop jeans and they are so soft & comfy that I find myself looking for different ways to wear them. I thought the blue tones of the top would look especially pretty with the navy blue of denim. These Rebecca Minkoff sandals have been a great buy too. I rarely buy flats, but when they are embellished, and interesting like these ones, I am all for them.

These new sunglasses are my only round ones; recently bought. I could not resist their charm, and they were a steal.

Not surprisingly, I kept this pretty little top. I even love just looking at the girly piece. <3

Diba Indie Braided Suede Lace Up Heel ($90)

I always ask my dear stylist for new fun heels. She kindly included these purple chunky heels.  ( I found the same ones in two different colors here) If I haven’t just bought many new pieces (like my tassel bag, and new flat sandals along with Memorial Day Sale picks) I would have probably kept this pair. The purple color is stunning.

Gilli Delphine Jersey Romper ( $68)

This romper was a cheerful, happy piece.  I thought it was well constructed, and had a classy neckline. I think I have filled my romper quote for this summer so I ended up sending this one back. I do wish it was sleeveless too.

Collective Concepts Kalei Open Back Scoop Neck Top ($54)

The last piece in the June Stitch Fix box was the Collective Concepts Kalei Open Back Scoop Neck Top. The top has an open back detail, and ruffle layer/hem.

Style Tip: I paired the white & red piece with white jeans  & chunky cage peep toes. I like the romantic, flowy quality to the Stitch Fix top.

I do like this top, and its feminine look. As I mentioned, I am looking for more summery pieces    so I ended up sending this blouse.

Overall Impressions: As always I enjoyed receiving my box of Stitch Fix items. June was another box of pretties, and I ended up keeping a super cute sleeveless blouse. As someone being on their box #41, I would of course recommend you give Stitch Fix a try at least once to see how you like the service. Don’t forget to enter the below Stitch Fix Gift Card Giveaway for a chance to win a $50 Gift Card which would cover the styling fee and then more.

  • What amazing colors in this post, Elif! I love that romper – if a romper is going to be on the shorter side then I like the longer sleeves. I have a fix coming this week and of course I peeked! I’m most excited for the split sleeve blouse and the wrap dress.

    • Theboxqueen

The colors are so cheerful right? 🙂 I did like the romper it just wasn’t the right time for it but the print was gorgeous. Excited for your upcoming SF, you need to tell me all about it when you receive. Best of luck with the giveaway, always nice to chat with you. XOXO, Elif

  • Susan Jeffries

I love your Fix posts! I get excited when I see one in my In box! I love that mustard top, but agree that there is too much fabric for you. I think the romper is my favorite!! I have not yet bought a romper for summer because I worry that I am too old for one:( I love the look though! I have been adding simple classic summer pieces to my wardrobe. Now I need some fun prints and colors! I love Stitch Fix because we live in a tiny town and the closest mall is 90 miles away! Thanks for the tips! Susan

    • Theboxqueen

Thanks Susan, so happy to know you enjoy the Stitch Fix posts! <3 I think you can wear a romper at any age, especially if you find the right style. For instance unless the cut is just right, I don't go for super short styles, and make sure the neckline is classy. I love to read why you love SF. Best of luck with the giveaway, and happy Wednesday! XOXO, Elif

  • Shazia McGeehan

    Great fix!

    • Theboxqueen

Best of luck with the giveaway. XOXO, Elif

  • Christine Ponka

I liked the Papermoon blouse that you kept the best. Loved the back! What a fun fix!

    • Theboxqueen

There are great options online, Stitch Fix has many great rompers from what I see too. Keep me posted, hope you find one that you enjoy. XOXO, Elif

  • I love the purple shoes!! In my next stitch fix I asked for summer outfits!! I love stitch fix because you don’t have to leave your house and try stuff on and they have great clothes!! Thank you so much for sharing!!

    • Theboxqueen

Yes, it is so fun to get a package of clothes to try at home I agree completely Teresa. Thanks for stopping by, and best of luck with the giveaway. XOXO, Elif

  • Bridget Heiple Reich

I’m not sure if I could pull off the romper, but it looks great on you!

    • Theboxqueen

Thanks Bridget, and best of luck with the giveaway. XOXO, Elif

  • Lorena Keech

I like the blouse you decided against, Collective Concepts Kalei Open Back Scoop Neck Top. Our office is always too cold and it seems when we go out, the restaurants are also overly air conditioned. So sleeves are a must on summer blouses for me.

  • Tonya Townsend Beltran

I don’t know how you decide, you always get such cute things. I love the pretty blue tank with the bow back. I also love the romper but, I totally agree, sleeveless is a must. I thought you would totally keep those pretty purple sandals, they looked liked something you would work into every cute outfit!

    • Theboxqueen

It’s so difficult to choose each month. I love to shop on my own a lot too so I need to not go overboard every month with SF. It is definitely not easy to pass up some pieces like the purple heels :-)) I am so happy I kept the bow top though. Best of luck with the giveaway, and happy Thursday! XOXO, Elif

  • Ashley Bree Perez

    I would love this! (:

  • Tara

I love the Bishop + Young Rodrigo Side Split Blouse even though you sent it back. (I do adore those shorts too! Cute find!)

  • tiffany dayton

The blue top would look cute with shorts.

  • I love the Collective Concepts Kalei Open Back Scoop Neck Top! So cute.

  • msrodeobrat

I adore that romper! I need it in my summer collection! I have never ordered from stitch fix, but I would love to. I really need to add more flattering pieces! A lot of what I have is a loose and flowy, but that is just not all that flattering for me.

  • Vicki Schrick

I got the same Kalei Open Back Scoop Neck top in my June box. I was charged $37 for the same blouse. Are we being charged what we are willing to pay? Why was yours so much more expensive than mine?

    • Theboxqueen

I did not end up keeping it but this was what mine was listed at. Did you keep the whole box and got a discount ? OR maybe by the time it reached you later in June the blouse was discounted? (I’ve seen that happen before) I am curious now too! Thanks for sharing. XOXO, Elif

      • Vicki Schrick

It was the only item I kept from my box. I received it at the end of June. Bought it July 1st.
