We recently got back from a beach vacation with the family. I took a well needed week long break, and I can’t wait to share my beach style, and some photos from the gorgeous Aegean town, Bodrum, we were at. This is the place I vacationed every summer as a kid, and I can’t say enough good things about the breathtaking beaches, natural beauty, restaurants, and of course the night life. I’ll share my Bodrum photos, and vacation style in two parts.
This was the view from our room. ( We stayed at the Hilton) The private beach of the resort was a natural lagoon which was perfect for the kids to swim in with minimum waves and wind. I love the white buildings of the town; the architecture is so very pretty & typical to the area.

Style Tip: One of my favorite beach cover ups is a strapless mini dress. I recommend this style to everyone as it is so easy to pull over swimsuits. It is also perfect for mid day lunches at the resort or at a local restaurant.
For me, pretty straw bags are a MUST HAVE for vacation time. I bought this sold out striped bag recently, however I also LOVE this style & this pom pom beauty.
When we were on a discovery walk around our resort, we came across these lovely stairs designed with stunning tiles.
Dress: Victoria’s Secret- old (Very Similar Style Under $40) | Swimsuit: Trina Turk | Sandals: Old – Very Similar Sandals
Style Tip: If you’ve been a long time reader, you may have seen this tunic styled in an outfit here. This lace top doubles as a wonderful beach cover-up. I wore it with my straw bag, and embellished sandals. (love these ones)
Cover-Up: Stella & Dot (also see here in an outfit) | Bag: Sold Out – (Similar Style I love) | Swimsuit: Becca One Piece (Kept from This Trunk Club) | Shoes: Embellished Flat Sandals – very similar

One night we went to Gumusluk area in Bodrum. This is a very unique area with amazing views, and seaside seafood restaurants. We first ate at a restaurant we frequent every time we go to Gumusluk. ( the best part is that everyone remembers us there- love the warmth of the people) After dinner, we always take a stroll. There is an open accessory bazaar with different artists selling their hand made jewelry. My mom captured me and my youngest choosing precious stone bracelets.
Do you read my Stitch Fix Reviews? This dress was my keeper from May Stitch Fix. I also love this similar style & this off the shoulder dress.
Dress: Lace Cold Shoulder- similar option here, love this style under $50 ( Kept from this Stitch Fix) | Shoes: Steve Madden | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff ( Kept from this Trunk Club) | Jewelry: Boutique + Rocksbox ( Get a FREE MONTH of Rocksbox here with CODE: theboxqueenxoxo)

This was our view from our dinner table. The little hill is named Rabbit Island. It is possible to walk there via the knee deep water. There are still rabbits running wild on it.
My husband and I made a note of creating a similar lighted tree in our garden. We loved the magic it added to the view.
Where are you vacationing at lately? I would love to hear all about your recent travels!
Part 2 of my beach vacation is coming soon. 🙂
