I have been compensated by Johnson’s® Baby for this post; however, I am sharing my own thoughts. All opinions are my own.

Trying new beauty products with various highly effective formulas, be it a face cream, hair serum, or body moisturizer, is second nature to me. I can’t even begin to explain how much I enjoy learning about different technologies used to make these products, and reading about how the ingredients are good for improving skin tone, firming up the eye area or making hair look thicker. I have to say though ladies, sometimes the most accessible products that are so recognizable that they’ve been a part of your everday life for years, are the most versatile, and useful of all.

One of such products for me is Johnson’s Baby Oil Gel. This product has become a family favorite for us, and I especially love the shea & cocoa butter formula. Apart from using it for its original purpose, on my kids skin after bath time, I also have three beauty hacks I use Johnson’s Baby Oil Gel for that I can’t live without. (and the best part is you can find it everywhere, including big stores like Walmart in the baby section)

1) USE IT ON YOUR HAIR AS HAIR GEL TO GET RID OF FRIZZ

Johnson’s Baby Oil Gel is an excellent product to use on your hair to get rid of frizz. I love using it to tame my hair, and make it look sleek; like it’s been styled, and taken care of. (Even when you did not have time to wash your hair that morning.)

For instance before I got ready to get out of the house before the below pictures were taken, I put a bit of gel oil on my hands, rubbed them together, and applied the product around the front sides of my hair where it gets most frizzy. As it was such a windy day, the gel helped keep my hair in its place, soft, and frizz free.

Another way I use Johnson’s Gel Oil  on my hair is when I want to create a sleek pony tail look. Just brush your hair, apply a bit of gel oil on the top part, gather your hair with a hair tie and everything will stay in its place. Easy fix for a bad hair day!

2) USE IT INSTEAD OF SHAVING CREAM FOR SMOOTH & SILKY LEGS

I’ve used shaving creams before and have always found them to be a bit too messy. They foam up too much, and I never know if I am using enough so I end up wasting the whole bottle.

A while ago, I happily discovered that you can use Johnson’s Baby Oil Gel on your legs in place of shaving cream. I first wet my legs under running warm water all over for a few minutes. I pat dry with a towel. I apply a thin layer of baby oil gel all over, and start shaving. If I feel like I come across a dry patch, I apply a tiny bit more. This super easy shaving process gives me a smooth, stub free shave and I love it.

3) MIX IT UP WITH YOUR BRONZER AS A SHIMMER FOR GLOWY SKIN

There is nothing more flattering to your body than a shimmery bronzy glow. It makes everything look thinner and shapelier.

I use a body lotion that acts as a gradual bronzer on my skin during spring & summer however this product lacks the glow I am after. Just like you see in the above photo, I put a touch of Johnson’s Baby Oil Gel in my body lotion, and apply the mixture all over my body. Love the subtle shimmer it gives my skin.
