Happy Weekend lovelies! I am so happy to meet you here today after such a long week. April is proving to be one of the busiest for our family especially with all the home stuff we’ve been doing (we decided to sell our house after all the improvements we did though we are staying in the same neighborhood), and our adventures still continue. Between the kid schedules, my activities, the blog, and getting our home ready for open houses, I’ve truly been exhausted. Also many comical moments ensued because of being packed up, and finding our stuff from boxes. In short, it’s a breath of fresh air to share my April DailyLook Review with you all today finally, and none the less on the last day of the month 🙂
Compared to my initial review, I found that DailyLook Elite continued to improve in terms of matching me with pieces I like & the overall presentation as similarly observed in my March Review. I once again appreciated the preview option they have now, which allows you to take out a couple pieces to be replaced by new ones based on your feedback. If you are new to TheBoxQueen, make sure to check out how everything works below for more details.
HOW DOES DAILYLOOK ELITE WORK?
- Your personal stylist curates a box of clothes for you from DailyLook online boutiques’ large selection based on your preferences specified in your style profile. They have really cool brands in the mix.
- As a very welcome update DailyLook Elite now lets you preview your pieces, and take out two that may not suit your style. Your stylist then adds two other mystery items you get to unwrap when you receive your box.
- I was impressed with how my stylist wrote a very detailed letter which was included in my Elite Box. She studied my style & social media accounts to learn more about what I love, and I appreciated the personal touch. From my understanding your stylist stays the same at least for some time.
- The pieces in your box generally range from $50-$300 depending on your style profile. Your $40 monthly styling fee applies towards items that you keep making the service free if you make a purchase from your box, and is good for 30 days.
- Each Dailylook EliteBox comes with 6-8 items. Mine had 7 pieces.
- There was a 50% off one item discount if I kept three or more pieces which I took advantage of.
- Shipping & returns are free. You send back the pieces you are returning in the original box, or the bag included, with a prepaid return label you can find in your information envelope.
- You have full 5 days to keep your items, and make your decision.
- You can cancel your subscription anytime by submitting your request via the website.
- Dailylook Elite has a referral program where you receive $25 credit for every friend you refer.
In my April DailyLook Elite Box I received two pieces of jewelry, two dresses, two tops, a shirt, a skirt, and a pair of pants. I am sharing my favorites below. I ended up keeping the pants and the top you’ll see in the second outfit as well as the ring I wore in the last picture. I also kept the pinkish floral top you can see above on the very top of the pile I’ll feature it in a future style post. I must say both dresses you’ll see below were quite stunning in person, and strong contenders while I was choosing. <3
One thing I wished was to be able to find the contents of DailyLook Elite in DailyLook shop section. As I can’t directly link to the pieces, I found similar ones I love in case you would like to recreate these looks with things from your closet, or from stores. Ready to see my favorites? Here we go lovelies
Adelyn Rae Halter Neck Chiffon Maxi Dress ($79.99)
This dress came in the most stunning emerald green, a color I love so much, and the shape was absolutely beautiful. The piece was easily the most striking one among the April box, and an immediate favorite. I loved how it draped, and how it was fitted at just the right parts to be flattering. See this similar print option I love if you need a long dress.
Although I thought this was such a gorgeous piece, I ultimately thought I would not get much use out of it due to its heavy fabric. I love pieces that can easily be styled for events (unless its a wedding or such which of course calls for a truly unique dress) but can also be worn for evenings with my husband or work related functions. This particular dress felt too “formal” for me.
I will either get this more wearable option by the same brand or this pretty one also by Adelyn Rae. Both dresses are more suitable for my lifestyle, and would be versatile pieces I can wear more than once, layered with jackets, cardigans, or simply worn on their own.
My accessories are from Wantable. (See all my Reviews here) They send accessories as a part of Style Edit now. Truly some of my most used.
Dress: DailyLook ( love this halter option) | Shoes: Old / Similar Style | Bag: Old / Similar Style | Accessories: Wantable ( See all my Reviews)
Velvet by Graham & Spencer Sugar Pop Top ($64) & DailyLook High Waist Slimming Ponte Knit Pants ($99)
I’ll start off by saying I kept both of these pieces. They are your basic wardrobe staples, items that will be worn over and over in countless outfits. I love the color, and draping of the top. It has a very summery fabric that feels lightweight but well made. ( I believe it was also on sale, above you see the original price) The pants (super similar style I also have and love) are as slimming as they claim to be, and are the perfect mix of pants and leggings. Here, I accessorized the combo with this cream ankle pump, and my recent favorite purchase, tasseled clutch/crossbody bag.
Top: DailyLook (Similar Top) | Pants: DailyLook ( I love this Similar Option) | Shoes: Cream Ankle Tie Pumps | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Earrings: Rocksbox ( Get your FREE MONTH of Rocksbox here – try the service commitment free) | Sunglasses: Marc Jacobs ( kept from this Trunk Club)
Keepsake Call It Charming Midi Dress ($242)
This dress was so beautiful; I love the print, the front slit, and the perfect fit. Although I did not keep it because it was at a too high price point for the numbers of times I anticipated wearing it, I really enjoyed styling this piece. ( I love this alternative similar option)
I wore my lace up heels (similar current style) and also accessorized with the metallic gold bag I kept from my April Stitch Fix review.
Dress: DailyLook ( Super cute similar Style) | Shoes: Old ( Similar New Style On Sale) | Bag: Stitch Fix ( From April Stitch Fix Review) | Sunglasses: Tory Burch | Ring: DailyLook | Earrings: Wantable (Wantable Reviews here, accessories come with Style Edit now!)
Sandy Hyun Ring ($38)
I kept this pretty ring that came in my box. It was actually on sale too. I found this pretty ring in similar colors that has the same vibe though on a different shape.
Overall Impressions: April’s DailyLook brought me some pretty pieces, and I still think it was a big improvement compared to the old DailyLook Elite service. My favorite part continues to be the preview, and the accessibility to your stylist.
