After a long weekend spent equally with shopping for the new house, and time with great friends, I continued to unpack the whole Sunday evening. It wouldn’t come as a surprise to any of you that moving means taking stock of what you own, and what you need as well as discovering that you want a whole LOT of new things haha.
The past couple weeks I’ve spent so much time browsing online, and identifying my wish list of furniture pieces, rugs, lighting, and art work. I’ve never been a big time coupon saver. They help tremendously with big purchases like statement pieces though. Any coupons to my favorite decoration stores I could find, I’ve filed and saved to find when needed. One other thing that helps to feed my current obsession of home decorating, and of course fall/winter closet shopping, is Credit Card Rewards.
I’ve been using Credit Card Reward programs since I’ve gotten my first real credit card during college, and have not stopped utilizing various, exciting rewards all these years since. Between me, and my husband, we probably have cards with all the rewards you can think of, however two types I personally utilize the most are Cash Back Credit Cards, and Retail Credit Cards.
I love Cash Back Credit Cards for obvious reasons. The cash back is like a little gift; I can spend it on the house, kids, or on new trends with zero guilt. I love choosing my own reward instead of being tied to a list of items. The easiest way for reaching higher amounts in cash back is by using the cards for everyday expenses such as groceries, gas, and your daily coffee.
In fact I use ours for paying electric bills, for online shopping or even purchasing plane tickets. Basically anything you can think of you can use your credit card for which helps get those cash rewards fast. ( of course I need to give the disclaimer that the way to go about is being responsible with the cards and spend wisely making the monthly payments 🙂

Another type of Credit Card Rewards I love is through Retail cards. For instance I bought the above outfit (well most of it; the jacket and booties) with rewards/savings from my Nordstrom Card. Btw ladies this moto jacket is THE best and under $100. I’ve already worn it many times over skinnies, dresses, and leggings. LOVE!
Which reward cards are your favorites lovelies? What types of rewards do you like? I would love to hear all about them. If you are considering different type of reward cards you can learn all about the various kinds here.
