Ladies its 2018 ( I hope I get used to it if I keep saying it 🙂 ) and I am super excited to share the years first Stitch Fix Review. My stylist is back from her break and she did an incredible job of styling my January box.
Over the years, I was introduced to many “new to me brands” through Stitch Fix such as Collective Concepts (red top), Kut from The Kloth (shorts), Just Black (denim shorts), Papermoon (Maxi dress), Urban Expressions (a clutch), French Grey (dress), and Liverpool (a coat). You can click on the links to be taken to my reviews featuring pieces from those brands I’ve got to know and love)
It was such great news this past August when Stitch Fix announced that they now carry many premium brands. In the first box of 2018, my lovely stylist included a couple of those luxe brands for me, and I could not be happier about trying them out. In my January 2018 Stitch Fix box I received a puffer jacket, a fitted top, a sweatshirt, a pullover sweater, and a knit dress. Can’t wait to show you ladies everything! Let’s begin. <3
First out of my box was the Alzina V Neck Pullover. Stitch Fix styled the sweater with jeans in one look and a white skirt in the second one.
Style Tip: Cotton Emporium is another new to me brand from Stitch Fix. I was immediately drawn to the super soft knit and the beautiful lavender/ light pink color of this gorgeous off the shoulder pullover. I styled it with my lighter blue skinny jeans and purple heels to play of the light purple shades in the pullover. The gorgeous velvet bag was a New Years gift from Stitch Fix and I absolutely adore it. The navy tone of it with smoke undertones really complemented the outfit and added some depth to the color mix.
STATUS – KEEPING
I decided to keep this sweater probably the moment I put it on. It was an easy decision as the material is so cozy, the color just darling, and off the shoulder style very on trend. LOVE!
I am so in love with these drop earrings I am keeping from Rocksbox. They are light so they don’t hurt my ears and they are stunning in person.
Stitch Fix styled the Helmut Lang top with a beautiful maxi skirt for a feminine look and with joggers and sneakers for a sportsy one.
Style Tip: Helmut Lang is one of the luxe brands Stitch Fix carries now and I was so happy my stylist sent a piece from the brand my way. The red top is the epitome of a well made item. Its a basic with such an awesome fit. The top has a fresh but classic shape; rare qualities to exist together.
I paired the top with the knit striped skirt I kept from Stitch Fix in this review. I thought the burgundy in my skirt played off nicely with the bright red of the top. I added burgundy heels, and my new neutral Rebecca Minkoff crossbody bag to complete the look. I can see myself wearing this outfit to a lunch with a friend or even for a date with my hubby.
STATUS – SENDING BACK
I am sending back this beauty as I have a couple similar tops from Loft & Ann Taylor that I tuck in and wear with skirts. I also have this cold shoulder top with a bow that I wear tucked in. I could not justify the price having all those similar tops at home but have to say I thought the top was an amazing, nicely crafted basic.
Stitch Fix put together two outfits with the RD Style Sweater dress; one with a kimono cardigan, and another with a denim jacket.
STATUS – STILL DECIDING / NEED YOUR OPINION
I always share my true feelings with you ladies and as I still have my box with me at home I am trying to decide whether to keep this sweater. I would LOVE to hear your opinion. Should I keep it? I have so many winter pieces in my closet by now but love the cool and casual feel of this dress.
This delicate ring came in my latest Rocksbox. They send designer jewelry you can use as a rotating jewelry collection and of course when you can’t part with a piece you have the option of keeping it at a discounted rate from its retail price. Try Rocksbox FREE for a month here!
Stitch Fix styled the puffer coat with jeans in both looks.
Style Tip: Bagatelle is a brand I learned about just now as Stitch Fix sent me this functional and beautiful coat in the jewel tones of burgundy. I did pin this coat to my Stitch Fix Pinterest Board ; its always such pleasant surprise when my stylist sneaks in one of my favorites in those SF boxes. 🙂
I wore the coat over the RD Style dress that also came in the box and could literally go about my day in this outfit. It felt very natural, very me.
STATUS – SENDING BACK
If only I did not purchase a North Face jacket in color burgundy just a couple weeks ago, I would have kept this one in a heartbeat. Pinning this jacket on my Pinterest board was probably what inspired me to buy the other jacket in the first place. Ladies if you need a warm, gorgeous and super functional puffer coat request this one from your stylist.
Stitch Fix styled the Wildfox Lace-Up Hoodie with jeans and a mini skirt in two casual outfits.
Style Tip: This is also a luxe new brand Stitch Fix is carrying however the brand has been a long time favorite of mine and I do own several WildFox pieces. I went back and forth in how to style the hoodie. Initially I was thinking of pairing it with a jogger style pants and black pumps however in the end I wanted to go for a super casual look with grey skinny jeans and my Nikes. (and basketballs) I chose a soft bucket bag to finish off my outfit.
STATUS – SENDING BACK
I am glad my stylist sent this piece my way. It has the ultimate cool feel to it and I LOVE the WildFox brand. I own way too many grey tops so in the end decided against keeping this particular color. I am seriously eyeing this red version though.
DON’T FORGET!!! Stitch Fix is waiving your styling fee with this link!!! I LOVE to share this news with you ladies. This is your time to try Stitch Fix no strings attached, and see how you like the service. Its for a limited time so act fast if you want to experience the lovely SF!
OVERALL IMPRESSIONS: What a great way to start the new year with the first Stitch Fix of 2018.
