We are in the second week of January ( Wait, what?!? Already?) in the middle of winter and ladies I never thought I would admit this but I have more than enough new, on trend cold weather clothes for this season in my closet. There are rows, and rows of sweaters and long sleeves there on the shelves; yeah I may have overdone it a tiny bit. Since August, not only have I been shopping on my own for winter pieces, but I’ve also asked every stylist from each styling service to send me cozy items. I think last years harsh NW winter have scared me way too much 🙂
For this exact reason I’ve asked Wantable Style Edit to send me skirts, and dresses, and spring inspired pieces this time. You’ll see two of those items I ended up loving, and keeping, along with three more of my best picks, styled in outfits below.
Are you are new to TheBoxQueen? A huge welcome ! You’ll find how Wantable Style Edit works and my related posts below. If you would like to read why Wantable Style Edit is one of my favorite subscriptions, here is a detailed comparison post where I discuss various style subscriptions/services.
HOW WANTABLE STYLE EDIT WORKS
- Similar to Fitness Edit (which I initially reviewed here) Style Edit also lets you try the items picked for you before you buy. You get 7 pieces picked for you by your stylist based on your style profile, and you can keep them for 5 days to try with your own clothes.
- The styling fee is $20 and fully credited towards your purchases. You can keep or send back any or all of the pieces with the enclosed prepaid envelope. If you keep 5 or more items you get 20% off.
- Although Style Edit is a subscription service, you can skip a month or months anytime. Essentially, you have the option to try a single box this way.
- Currently Style Edit is only available to 50 US States.
- You’re only billed for what you keep, and Wantable includes a return label to make it easy and convenient.
You can fill out your style profile from the “Let’s Get Started ” section anytime and when you are done you can decide to order a Style Edit immediately or later. Filling out these style surveys is half the fun for me. They have so much detail that sometimes I even end up discovering what I really like at the moment.

In my January 2018 Wantable Style Edit box I received two skirts, three dresses, a jacket, and and a pair of corduroy pants. I can’t wait to show you what I kept and what I loved. <3
Coalition Faux Leather Jacket ($69) + Lucky Brand Floral Short Sleeve Dress ($99)
Style Tip: Both the leather jacket and the dress you see above came in my Jan. Wantable box. I loved that my designer chose this jacket that had an amazing value especially at that price. (here I found it at an even better $) It had a great fit, cool details, and came in a very versatile color.
Pairing edgier moto jackets over cute dresses is a style I adore and it was a pleasant surprise to find the darling floral Lucky Brand piece in my box. I immediately took a mental note to pair these two together and thought my sold out booties completed the casual outfit nicely. ( See a great boot option here) I could wear this look any time of any day. 🙂
The clutch from Stitch Fix is one of my latest favorites. I love the on trend velvet and how the navy tone goes with so many outfits. ( Find all my Stitch Fix Reviews here, and for a limited time try Stitch Fix FREE with this link)

I thought long and hard for both the jacket and short sleeve dress. In the end, in this box, there was a lightweight and long sleeve dress I liked better for NW springs. Although I simply loved the jacket I have a TON of similar moto pieces.
These two necklaces are on constant rotation. The top one is from Stella & Dot and I layer it with longer necklaces all the time. The key necklace is adorable and great on its own; a Wantable piece. (you can request jewelry from Wantable Style Edit)
Lux LA Knee Length Pencil Skirt ($39)
Style Tip: The skirt from Lux LA is one of the two skirts that came in my Jan. Wantable Style Edit. As it had a super form fitting, body con shape I wanted to pair it with a more relaxed knit to balance out the proportions. ( I think the skirt would look as good with a fitted tank and a wide belt)
The pearl embellished knit is a great recent addition to my closet and the pearls make such a pretty statement. The piece is especially great as its under $20, a small price to pay to try a trend and see whether you like it before you invest more. I layered the sweater with this grey tank (the sweater does need layering to be worn as designed – off the shoulder) that I find very useful. I frequently wear it under crop sweaters or off the shoulder pieces like this one.
Finally I chose aqua green pumps to add a bit more unexpected color and a fringe clutch to bring some movement to the look.
Tank Top: Treasure and Bond | Sweater: SHEIN | Skirt: Wantable (Similar Style Here) | Shoes: Sam Edelman ( On Sale Here for Only $36) | Clutch: Stitch Fix ( All Stitch Fix Reviews Here) | Jewelry: Rocksbox (Get your FREE Month of Rocksbox Here)
Seems like many of my favorite clutches come from Stitch Fix as this one is also from the personal styling service . Try Stitch Fix FREE for a limited time, and see this clutch in this Stitch Fix Review.

As feminine as this skirt was, I did not feel like it was very well made. When a piece is this revealing, you really need it to be well constructed to feel comfortable in it. I would much prefer a tight fitting skirt like this one.
Dex Faux Leather Skirt ($50)
Style Tip: The second skirt in my box was this Dex Faux Leather Skirt (similar style I love here) and I simply adored the length, shape, and the elastic waist which ensured a great fit. I wanted to create a black and white look with a touch of gold (by the help of a crossbody/clutch) and combined the skirt with this lace up knit. My recent purchase, sold out suede boots balanced the length of the skirt and they have super comfy block heels. ( Check out this very similar boot style instead)
I kept the faux leather skirt. I know I’ll get a lot of use out of it. Its on point while being wearable; in other words my kind of an item. 🙂
Bow Sweater: SHEIN ( Only $17) | Skirt: Wantable Style Edit ( Identical Style I Love) | Boots: Sold Out / Similar Great Option | Bag: Stitch Fix ( Kept from this Review) | Earrings: Rocksbox (Try your FREE MONTH here) Bracelet: Wantable ( Request accessories from Style Edit) | Ring: Stella & Dot
Lucky Brand Annalisa Dress ($45)
Style Tip: Where do I start for this dress? Its lightweight, long sleeved for spring breezes, and has a delicate print with pink in it. LOVE! I wanted to bring out the muted pink in the dress with a bolder fuchsia clutch, and the blues with a cobalt blue pair of pumps.
Once again the clutch is from Stitch Fix. I added a rose detailed bracelet to bring in a bit of shine and glam.

This dress is such a sweet piece, and was on sale as well. I am happily holding on to it. <3
Overall Impressions: My stylist listened to me wanting more dresses and skirt options and sent me an amazing box of seven pieces each better than the next. I kept a dress and skirt I loved which was a great outcome as those were the pieces I was looking for. Wantable Style Edit does not disappoint me.
