Happy March Lovelies! I am delighted to share my picks of Best LOFT Outfits Spring 2019 with you ladies today. I really enjoy putting together these dressing room try on sessions as it means I was able to take a rare break to go to the stores. (I am usually an online shopper as it fits my busy life perfectly:-) )
Recently these shopping trips became so much more fun because my fourteen year old daughter can now fit in the smallest size at LOFT and comes along with me. Sharing these mini expeditions with her is great, and every time we find something to get for her to wear at school and in the weekends. This time she bought this tie back sweater . It’s pretty adorable.
It’s no secret I’ve always loved LOFT myself for their stylish basics. They have well made, trendy, and let’s not forget affordable pieces that are very wearable. Every season, I shop at LOFT, and especially love their online store. They have many Web Exclusives there including shoe & clothing pieces you can’t find in the traditional stores. (such as this ultra charming pair of bow flats that I am ordering myself.) When you have a minute make sure to also check out my Best Loft Outfits Winter 2019. Many of those winter items there are deeply discounted now.
Before I start talking about my favorites from LOFT spring collection, I want to point you towards all my previous Go Shopping With TheBoxQueen posts you can find here. I’ve been putting together these series for years and all my Dressing Room Try On sessions are there as well as TheBoxQueen Shopping Guides. In my Best Loft Outfits Spring 2019 guide you’ll find my thoughts on each piece under the photos in addition to all outfit details. I also share clickable visuals to show you how you can use these items to create a full look.
First off, below, find my tips for trying out clothes at stores. I have a LOT of experience in this area ahem, ahem 🙂 so hopefully my tips will be helpful.
!!! SALE AT LOFT RIGHT NOW : USE CODE: NEWNOW to get 40% off of your purchase until night March 10th!
This is what I wore to my LOFT shopping expedition this time. The whole outfit is from different pieces I kept from one of my favorite personal styling services, Stitch Fix. The top is one of my most recent keeper pieces from my Stitch Fix February 2019 Review. (you can see it styled in the initial outfit here) I kept the jeans from my Stitch Fix Review January 2019; you can see this pair in a different outfit in that review.
My earrings are from Rocksbox, the jewelry service that I am huge fan of. You can try Rocksbox FREE for a MONTH here. My ring is from DailyLook. It’s a personal style box which you can try for yourself here and with CODE: ELIF10 you will get $10 off of your styling fee.
As you will also find in my tips below, I took two shoes with me to LOFT this time around. I wore my peep toe booties (similar style here), and brought my pink pair of sandals from home to try with various outfits. I love to have alternative shoes with me to make sure I see the outfits I try on at their best. (which can only happen with the right shoes)
Few Of My Tips For Trying Out Clothes At Stores
- Make sure to wear your own heels/ shoes. For me, trying anything on without proper shoes is fruitless as I would not be able to visualize how the final look would come together. Plus I don’t like trying on the sample shoes available at certain stores (such as at Nordstrom) as many many people may have worn them before me the same day. Instead, wear a cute but comfy pair and take heels in your bag. At this particular LOFT trip I was fully expecting to try on a variety of styles including fancier pieces so I wore my peep toe booties for walking around but carried my pink heel sandals in my large bag for variety.
- Go when you are rested & well fed. Trying on one outfit after another becomes tiring after a while, so don’t go when you are already exhausted. Make sure to eat before you go, and carry a healthy snack like a nutritious bar in case you feel dizzy, and hungry inside the dressing room.
- Even if you are in a hurry, snap a quick mirror selfie for future reference. This helps with remembering your favorites that you may not end up purchasing on the spot. Sometimes after I come home, I look at my phone pictures on the big screen, and decide I need an item I overlooked at the store.
- Pick a time when the store is not a zoo. Usually this is early morning, or late in the evening. I went to LOFT in the early morning this time. Either being at the store right after it opens, or about an hour and a half before it closes works wonders in terms of a more peaceful shopping experience.
Ready to see everything that caught my eye lovelies? So excited to start! After trying them on I had many opinions on each item which I’ll share below.
- I am between 5 4′ to 5 5′ tall (on a good day 🙂 ), and around 120 pounds.
- I wear XS in tops, and XS to small in bottoms depending on fit.
BEST LOFT OUTFITS SPRING 2019
Floral Embroidered Vintage Soft Tee + Button Pocket Shift Skirt
This skirt was about the most darling thing I’ve seen for spring lately. It has a nice fit, and substantial feeling fabric. I loved the pockets and those cute buttons on them. It was true to size on me. It is also on sale and extra 50% OFF right now in the grape color that is as cute!!! If you need a skirt take a look at this one ladies. It got amazing reviews too.
I paired the floral embroidered soft tee with it. I think together they created an outfit that is pretty and is suitable for everyday. The tee does have a vintage feel to it due to the floral pattern which in my eyes makes it special. Instead of heels, you could also pair this look with these bow flats that are online exclusives and wear this look frequently changing up tops.
Garden Vintage Soft Shirttail Tee + Modern Slim Pocket Skinny Crop Jeans in Yellow
Another t-shirt that caught my eye immediately was the Garden Vintage Soft Shirttail Tee. As you can guess from the name it has a floral garden look to it, and the blue in it reminds me of the Mediterranean patterns on fine china which I love. There is a comfy but slim fit to the tee.
I paired it with the modern slim pocket skinny crop jeans in the happiest of yellow tones. On me this pair was true to size. I wear 25 in jeans and I tried this pair in 25. It fit me just right. Reading the reviews, if you are in between sizes I would go with the bigger size.
V-Neck Sweater Tank + Floral Flare Shorts
This outfit in my opinion is the ultimate spring/summer look and it is very versatile as you can combine both the top and the shorts with a big list of other pieces.
The V-Neck sweater tank is in a knit fabric and has some stretch to it. I found it to be flattering, and high in quality. The floral flare shorts would be such a multi-tasking piece in our wardrobes as these shorts could easily be styled more glam with heels and an off the shoulder top for going out to dinner or on a date. The pair would easily adapt to a day look too similar to how I styled them here.
Floral Wrap Dress
One of my very favorite pieces from this LOFT trip is this floral wrap dress. It has an effortless chicness to it that I am always after, and the fit is extremely comfortable due to the soft knit fabric. As a busy mom who is always on the go I can’t tell you how much I appreciate pieces that can make me feel stylish without much fuss. This dress is a great value for the $ however you can take advantage of the sale today and could get it for even less.
Polka Dot Essential Tank + Vigoss Ripped Jeans
As I mentioned above, the jeans are a keeper piece from Stitch Fix. (See them in this review) Every piece I keep from the style boxes I receive I make sure they will be useful in the long haul. Now I am looking for spring pieces so I can create spring outfits with items I wore in winter such as my denim.
This polka dot tank is a classic and you can as easily wear it with white shorts, colorful skirts, or cut off denim shorts. It’s such a wardrobe staple.
Garden Trellis Flutter Split Neck Shell + Slim Tie Waist Pencil Pants in Marisa Fit
One of LOFT’s prettiest spring prints, the Garden Trellis Split Neck Shell is so girly with pastel tones, and flutter sleeves. I loved pairing it with Slim Tie Waist Pencil pants. Marisa Fit is the pant style I always buy from LOFT. These pants are highly rated, and once again on me they fit true to size. Some reviewers mentioned sizing down. I would as a result recommend if you are in between sizes to go with the smaller size for this pair.
Which one from my LOFT Spring 2019 pieces are your favorites ladies? What are you shopping from LOFT at the moment? I would love to hear it all.
