Happy Official Spring My Gorgeous Stitch Fix Ladies. We are past March 21st, and spring has arrived. For us in the NW this may not mean much in between rain showers however so far this March we’ve seen the sun more than the rain so I can’t complain. I am giddy to bring you my Stitch Fix Review March 2019. I asked my new permanent stylist ( who did an incredible job of getting to know what I like super quickly) for all spring pieces; cheerful, colorful and playful. I think you’ll agree with me that she completely delivered on all of those.
Today to celebrate the start of spring and to share my love of Stitch Fix with you ladies, I am giving away a $50 Stitch Fix Gift Card. Make sure to enter via the Rafflecopter but of course not before you see all the pretties that were sent to me in spring looks I put together. 🙂

HOW STITCH FIX WORKS AND HOW TO GET YOUR BEST BOX?
At Stitch Fix Website, you fill out a VERY detailed style profile. They ask everything from your height, weight, to top and bottom sizes. You include details on the types of styles you like such as glamorous, preppy or boho as well as a bunch of info on how you want things to fit.
Theboxqueen’s Tip: Be as honest with yourself here as possible. I remember when I first filled my style profile, I answered the Q’s with more of what I dream my style to be rather than what was actually needed for my current lifestyle. I am a mom of three young kids. I love glam style, and incorporate that into my life here and there. The truth is most glam pieces are not functional for my everyday life. I now ask for more casual styles.
My suggestion is to fill out the style profile even if you are not ready to order just now; it’ll give you an idea on your style and you’ll get a sense on what Stitch Fix is about.
- You pay a $20 styling fee upfront. This is applied to your keepers, so if you keep at least one piece you don’t lose it. Also when you keep your whole box ( like I did a couple times so far) you get 25% off the entire purchase. I always keep at least one piece as I would hate to lose my styling fee.
- Make a Pinterest board that is a good representation of your style. Pin types of Stitch Fix pieces you like as well as your own photos so the stylists can see who they are styling and your fashion choices.
Theboxqueen’s Tip: Here is my personal Stitch Fix Pinterest Board. I pin what I like from Stitch Fix here as well as how I styled previous pieces so the stylists can get a better idea of what I like, my body type etc. I think these all help them find the best pieces for me. Feel free to join me there to see what I am liking from new SF items, and my new SF outfits.
- Leave detailed notes to your stylist when you check out. When it’s time for checking out, they ask you for feedback on your fix. Write why you loved your keeper item(s), and the specific reasons why a piece didn’t work for you.
Theboxqueen’s Tip: I always make sure to include details such as ” The waist was a tad too tight” or ” The color wasn’t flattering on me” or ” The skirt was two inches too short for my taste”. The more specific the better.
- Make requests but know that there are no guarantees. One fun thing about Stitch Fix is the surprise factor, and how it pushes you out of your comfort zone.
- If you don’t want to wait too long for fixes, sign up for automatic shipments. You can determine the frequency. I usually go for once a month nowadays but I may make it more frequent again once the new season rolls in.
- You have three days to decide, and mix and match with your own clothes. When you are done, you send back everything you don’t want to keep; in a prepaid envelope included with your box. Love how quick and easy this system works.
- I love that SF now offers exchanges. Do you love your items but need a smaller or bigger size? Just let them know to make an exchange.
- Stitch Fix now offers petite, plus, maternity, men’s and kids styling services.
WHAT DO I ASK FOR IN MY PERSONAL STYLE PROFILE?
In a gist, I ask for pieces that are suitable for a mom of three kids under the age of 14, but who also loves cool, trendy items that can easily be mixed and matched. I think you can definitely be a mom, and stay chic especially with comfy pieces high on style. In addition, I ask for fun colors, cool details like shoulder cuts, back openings, or lace up designs as well as a variety of textures, and prints. I think these bring life to your closet, and also to your existing outfits. I also utilize the shoes & bags Stitch Fix sends and request them both frequently from my stylists.
HOW DO I DECIDE WHAT TO KEEP?
I am adding this as I get asked ALL the time, since I’ve started reviewing Stitch Fix 5+ years ago, how I decide to keep what I keep out of all the amazing pieces I receive. It’s a fact that my stylist(s) got to know me really well over the years, and I love or like most of the items that come my way as a result. I could literally keep everything majority of the time haha which wouldn’t exactly be practical considering all the style boxes I receive, and independent shopping that I do. 🙂
As a result I came up with a system of only keeping what I need to fill in the blanks of my seasonal wardrobe at the time, from my top favorites of each box. There are many times when I keep more than one piece, and from time to time I keep the whole Stitch Fix box. In general though, I am quite happy if I fall in love with even one piece that also answers a need in my closet.
A great example would be the pair of jeans I kept from my January 2019 Stitch Fix box, or the three pieces I kept from my February 2019 Stitch Fix Review. These pieces all contributed to my winter to spring transitional wardrobe. <3
A NEWER FEATURE OF STITCH FIX I LOVE
Stitch Fix has a newish “My Items” Section that I am so excited for. You can see every single piece that you’ve kept from the personal styling service together in a historical list.
I’ve always wanted Stitch Fix to have this option as many times I wanted to see everything I kept in one place with brands and date of Stitch Fix received. It is a great visual of what I loved from Stitch fix over the years and also serves as a practical visual board where I can look for trends in brands I’ve loved, kinds of pieces I kept etc.
This feature is also wonderful when you are trying to build a capsule wardrobe and want to figure out what to request from your stylist next. <3

STITCH FIX REVIEW MARCH 2019
In my 76th Stitch Fix box I received a striped clutch, two fun patterned tops, a cute dress, and a pair of wedges.
As always I’ll show you how I put together full outfits with each piece I received in my March Stitch Fix box. Under the photos you’ll find my style tips, outfit details, and also visuals that can be clicked and that would take you directly to the products so you can check current prices & color options available. I also always point out the same Stitch Fix pieces I’ve found online.
Stitch Fix styled the tie front dress with booties in one outfit and with heels in the other.
Nine Britton Addison Tie Front Brushed Knit Dress ($54)
Style Tip: The Stitch Fix tie front knit dress is one of those effortless pieces that can be styled many ways with the change of shoes and accessories. (similar style here) I styled mine to create a look I would wear on a date with my husband. This dress has a soft fabric & a great fit.
I paired it with my Sam Edelman heels I got last year and luckily found them here for much less than what I paid for them. My velvet clutch is a previous Stitch Fix piece and I added these earrings I recently bought on sale for a bit of timeless sparkle.
Dress: Stitch Fix (Similar Print, Love this similar Style) | Shoes: Sam Edelman (found them at a great price) | Bag: Stitch Fix ( Similar Style Here) | Jewelry: Drop Earrings

STATUS: SENT BACK
Even though I loved the color, print and the fit of this dress I sent it back. Like I mentioned above under how I decide what to keep, I was more looking for spring/summer pieces and wish this dress was a short sleeve one I could layer under jackets.
I love this one as an alternative in a similar fabric or this tie-front one in a similar style.
On the Stitch Fix styling cards we see the West Kei blouse in a jeans outfit as well as a part of a fancier skirt & heels combo.
West Kei Allan Tie Sleeve High Low Blouse ($42)
Style Tip: If you’ve read my Stitch Fix February Review you’ve probably noticed the beautiful West Kei top I kept from that box. This time my stylist sent me a stunning red top from the same brand with adorable tie sleeves. She also mentioned in her note to me that the blouse would look great with white jeans. This was my first instinct to pair this beauty with too and that’s exactly what I did. (love these white jeans)
I added the stripe clutch from the March Stitch Fix box, as my stylist also suggested, to the outfit and loved the pattern mixing with the florals. This new pair of sandals I kept from my March Trunk Club Review completed my look. These shoes are so flattering as they lengthen the leg with their neutral color.
The earrings I kept from Rocksbox and the bracelet that came in my most recent Rocksbox added texture to my outfit. Rocksbox is my favorite designer jewelry service. You can try Rocksbox FREE for a MONTH here; no commitment. I LOVE having an ever changing collection of jewelry at my disposal and that I can purchase the pieces at a discounted price if I wish. <3

SIMILAR TOPS I LOVE
STATUS: SENT BACK
Ladies I can hear you asking me how I sent back this top as it is truly gorgeous. It’s just that I kept a very similar style from the same brand just a month ago. I can’t recommend it enough for those of you who like it seeing it here however. It’s an eye catchingly pretty piece.

Market & Spruce Ema Tassel Clutch ($44)
I asked for a neutral, straw bag from my stylist and she said they did not have a larger bag like that but she sent this striped clutch my way instead. It has red stripes and a blue tassel to go with it. ( I found a similar style here that you can also monogram letters on)
STATUS: SENT BACK
I went back and forth on what to do with this clutch. It’s very on trend and extremely charming. In the end I sent it back as the size was too small for my needs, even for a clutch. (and I use a LOT of clutch styles)
Stitch Fix stylists paired the crochet knit top with denim cut offs and white jeans. Both of these outfits resonate with me completely. AND I styled my top with denim shorts too. 🙂
LUQ Julliet Crochet Knit Top ($38)
Style Tip: There are so many things I loved about the Julliet Crochet Knit Top. It has such a darling tone of blue, the print is very spring like, the off the shoulder style is my personal favorite, and the crochet trim adds to the charm of the piece. LOVE!
As I pointed out above, my first thought when I saw this top was denim shorts too, similar to Stitch Fix styling cards, and I ended up pairing it with my Levis distressed jean shorts. The shoes also came in my March Stitch Fix box and combined perfectly with this look with their low heel wedge style, and laser cut texture. (other laser cut wedges I like, Option 1, Option 2 and Option 3 )
I added the circular bag that I kept from this Stitch Fix Review & Restyled it in this Stitch Fix Remix edition.( Similar Circular Bag Style) This look is all about layered textures and the straw fabric brought in another type of just that. The star drop earrings I kept from my March Rocksbox added sparkle, and shine to my outfit. Don’t forget ladies you can try Rocksbox FREE for a MONTH here. Simply adore this designer jewelry service.

There were so many things that I loved about this top that there was no way I was sending it back. (which is the feeling I am always after when I am deciding what to keep from my style boxes) It is an effortlessly cool piece that I know will be loved this spring & summer. <3
Via Bleu Rosina Laser Cut Wedge ($89)
The Rosina Laser Cut Wedges have interesting detailing with the laser cut style and low heels for comfort. There is not anything I don’t like about them really. A great spring/summer style you can pair with a ton of outfits.
STATUS: SENT BACK
I have many wedges and I was more looking for a chunky heel type of sandals when I asked for shoes. For my next box I wrote a much more specific note to my stylist. These shoes were C-U-T-E though, and the color was perfect to mix and match with many others.

Overall Impressions: What a fun spring box this was that I truly enjoyed styling. I found a super cute style I love and kept and came close to keeping a couple more.
